robobrains have been around since Fallout 1. back in fallout 1 and 2, they could hold rifles and shotguns with their claws. i wish you could give robobrains here claws for that. im glad he even acknowledged they could originally do so

Rhas 'Churol No. only 5 ‚Battalions‘ (which are named Badges in Fo4) were made in the Factory. You can read that in a terminal. There has to be another factory.

In my opinion, the robobrain wasn't actually made for full combat, but more of a replacement for office workers. Almost like an assistant helping out with normal jobs. Like if you go to the mechanists liar and in that one main room there's a bunch of tiny robobrains typing.

My Robobrain schematics, eh? Okay. -Name: Bash Master. -Torso armor will be equiped with Voltaic Pieces, with the telsa coil mod. -The Robobrain treads will have the ACTUATED pieces. Speed, baby. -Just slap the hydraulic armor on his head. -His arms will be Assaultron arms, each arm equipped with voltaic armor pieces. -The hands will be the Assaultron SHOCK CLAWS. The hand-guards will just be good ol voltaic armor. -Paint is dark green. -Voice is sentry bot.

I built and tested 23 different variants of the robobrain and found that the most effective build was the voltic armor, sentry arms "left gatling laser" "right buzz saw" and i pinned it up against 3 gunner assaultrons and 1 gunner sentry bot and it won 4 times in a row which really surprised me and was wondering if having a high powered medium range laser weapon and a close quarters high powered melee weapon balanced it out?

I ran my sentry with protection legs cause I was running a low strength build and I needed the 100 extra carry weight, and was willing to sacrifice its speed. I called it VACU (Voltaic Autonomous Carrying Unit)

High Vis Harry may think the Robobrains are creepy to look at. But I think on the inside they are Cute and Beautiful! When I first heard their voice in Fallout 3, it was like Love at first words! But it was also very Tragic cause I had to imagine the process as well. I nearly cried and I promised to myself for now on to never kill another Robobrain again without permission by their Conscience to Euthanize them. In other words if I really really have to! Yes I know it's hard to figure out what their brain's true gender is but the voice they had along with the Dr. Who Cyberman horror you had to imagine them going through, it was alot to think about. In some sense, they're kind of my Waifu and I just can't help myself. Unfortunately my Biggest Criticism for default New Vegas was that they replaced the voice actor for them but kept the script. They basically turned them into Cucks and put them on the Back Burner of Relevance in favor for the giant Claptraps instead. But yet even though they weren't available in 4 by default, they thankfully finally gave us them here in the 2 DLC's! I'm pretty surprised by how far out Bethesda decided to go with them! I mean not only do you get to learn more about them which was sad but you also get to meet a small settlement full of them which is incredible! Then just when I thought they wouldn't go any further for the Cherry on the Sunday, you get to meet an actual girl who if you give enough verbal comfort and help her, she'll might reward you with something very unique! I pray we see them with this much personally again and I hope we get a main character lead Robobrain eventually. It would make for an interesting character ark story in my opinion. And I hope we see Vault 118 again!

From my memory, in the lore, Robobrains served as military commanders, making tactics and combat decisions. (At least for orher robots, not sure on humans) So in-universe, their strength is in their higher processing power and intelligence. Commanding units on how to win battles. It's a neat concept, but one that doesn't work in pure, direct combat.

For me when is comes to the robo brain as a dlc inclusion, their upside is being able to add their head for other automatron abominations, as the head adds the accuracy and combat range to every other robot

I searched for part 2 but KZbin found nothing. The sniper laser is unfortunately no more accurate than the automatic laser. It just fires vastly slower. I don't know what Bethesda was thinking with that weapon. :( I've tested each of the heads and eye with a Gatling Laser and visually observed the amount of dispersion (i.e. the cone of fire) and found that the Robobrain has significantly less dispersion than even the Mr. Handy. I was surprised at how large the difference was. You can't see it with slow firing weapons or weapons that don't have tracers. Even then, however, there is still dispersion, and it's still significant at the ranges the Robobrain likes to stay at. So, I use the Berserker Helm, because if it's aiming at the torso, a lot of shots are going to hit the limbs (actually probably more than if it aimed at a limb). I found it effective with the Protectron Automatic Laser, the somewhat-faster-firing-but-no-hand-armored Automatic Laser, the Minigun, and the Gatling Laser. Like everyone else, I wish Bethesda had made it so that the Robobrain could hold and fire any hand-held rifle, as an optional alternative to the Automatron weapons. I mean, then it would only have one, not two, but still it would be cool. In Fallout 1+2 they were beasts with 5.56mm assault rifles.

I suppose my full build more or less would be: - Robobrain head with Berserker Helm - Robobrain torso with Hydraulic front armor and Voltaic rear armor - Sentry Bot left and right arms with Voltaic armor - Dual Gatling Lasers - Sentry Bot Legs with Voltaic armor on the legs and Hydraulic armor on the waist - - and if Sentry Bot legs aren't allowed, then Robobrain legs with Hydraulic armor.

Admittedly I don't use Robobrains much in my playthrough, but here's a couple of designs I came up with and tested a bit in combat. I tried to keep as many robobrain parts as possible, with the sole exceptions being the arms. "Tesla" Robobrain Head - Cyclops Helmet Sentry Bot Arms - Voltaic Armor - Lightning Guns Robobrain Torso - Voltaic Armor - Tesla Coils Robobrain Treads - Voltaic Armor Originally devised primarily as a crowd control support unit, but not too bad in a solo fight either. The Cyclops helm may be unstable, but it doesn't seem to break often, and boosts the Mesmetron damage (useful since Robobrains spam it as a general rule) "Hannibal" Robobrain Head - Spartan Helmet Assaultron Arms - Warmonger Serrated Plate - Hammer Saws Robobrain Torso - Front Hydraulic Plate and Rear Warmonger Spiked Plate - Radiation Coils Robobrain Treads - Warmonger Spiked Plate Essentially the opposite of Tesla and the result of an attempt to build a tankier alternative to the Assaultron for melee combat. The Mesmetron helps to soften enemies up close before it moves in for the kill with its melee weapons (the reason assaultron arms were chosen being its boost to melee damage). The only real downside of course is that it spams its mesmetron until an enemy gets close, THEN engages in melee combat. "Dynamo" Robobrain Head - Spartan Helmet Assaultron Arms - Voltaic Armor - Assaultron Shock Claws - Hydraulic Armor (on the arms) Robobrain Torso - Voltaic Armor - Tesla Coils Robobrain Treads - Voltaic Armor An experiment to see how effective the combination of shock claws and voltaic armor would be in a melee build. Similar fighting style to Hannibal only with boosted energy damage output instead of bleeding damage and a possibility of staggering opponents with melee attacks. Same design flaw as Hannibal. "Mini-Sentry" Robobrain Head - Cyclops Helmet Sentry Bot Arms - Hydraulic Armor - Minigun and Missile Launcher (alternatively, two miniguns) Robobrain Torso - Hydraulic Armor - Tesla Coils Robobrain Treads - Actuated Armor Exactly what the name implies: a miniaturized sentry bot, without the cooling problems. The use of the actuated armor on the treads provides a minor speed boost.

I found that protectrons work well with one auto weapon and one semi auto weapon. I don't know what it is but its accuracy seemed to have improved and was quite viable against low\mid level enemies. Don't expect this to stomp a deathclaw but for defense for settlements that get hit by raiders and gunners its surprisingly effective at fire suppression assist for the settlers and turrets.

The Robobrain head works really well in a sentry bot, with dual regular miniguns and nuke launchers. At least, that's my experience. The extra accuracy means the miniguns and the nukes hit much more often, and despite the glitch where it only fires one of it's main guns, it seems to be highly effective in that setup. Perhaps something similar in Robobrain configuration might work?

I don't know if this really qualifies for what you're asking for, but it's my personal companion design. I found that the Robobrain Treads allow for far more mobility and maneuverability than those of the Sentrybot, and the head both gives you a little extra damage and makes the Gatling Lasers incredibly accurate. This provides the fire power of a Sentrybot with the maneuverability of a Robobrain, and I think the Robobrain combat AI is more in control, as although it definitely prefers keeping some distance, it isn't afraid to move in to take down a target. Aestheticly, in my opinion its looks take more after a Robobrain than a Sentrybot. Despite the Sentrybot body, the Treads and Head give the impression that it's more of a buffed up Robobrain than a modified Sentrybot.

They make good sentries at bases as whenever they spot an enemy, with their longer engament distance, comming it alerts all settlers and turrets to that enemy as well.

Robobrain is just a logistic calculating computer. I think they created robobrain, because they wanted a "leader" robot to run infrastructure, military operations and stuff like that and relative immortality for people who have the money to be converted into a machine. Mostly the staff P.A.M. is doing and I thing that P.A.M. and robots like this would at the end replace robobrains, but this project was ended by the big war.

If you are going to use all the Robobrain parts, you should go for a cyclops helm to turn the mesmetron attack from pitiful to brutal, dual gatling lasers for massive damage from all but the longest of ranges and full voltaic frames to crank up the damage even further. I think it looks best in orange.

I love your style and humor. Your videos are excellent your Return of the Protection series was phenomenal but I have to be honest, this video needs a part two. I agree with you 100% in that I really don't see a Robobrain as a viable companion but there indeed has to be a reason that Bethesda made such a huge fuss with this tin can, essentially giving it its own DLC. Regardless, keep up the good work and I look forward to whatever videos you put out next!

One of my more cursed ones, but proves pretty effective, was when i turned codsworth into a absolute unit. Gave him a robobrain head, max armor, for that max accuracy and resilience. I gave him a voltaic robobrain torso, two voltaic sentry arms, one minigun and one laser gatling, and voltaic assaultron legs. My man is hoofin it while being able to dodge, all while carrying two gatlings that are accurate enough to break the geneva convention

I love the Robobrain *parts*, but I hate the Robobrain itself. It spams it's USELESS FUCKING MESMETRON ATTACK WHEN IT HAS TWO PERFECTLY GODDAMN GOOD MINIGUNS AND A SENTRY TORSO WITH MORE MINI NUKES THEN LIBERTY PRIME'S FUCKING ASSHOLE DOES It's infuriating because it's supposed to be the PEAK of Robots in general in FO4 considering they gave it the best numerical stats but then when it comes to it's AI it's like it knows without two fucking laser snipers it's extra-long superior accuracy is useless when he just has a literal fucking smoke grenade stopping both the RB and the player from doing it's job so it's standard protocol is spam the Mesmetron attack, even when he has DUEL FUCKING UNSTABLE EXPLOSIVE MINIGUNS AT HIS DISPOSAL

Actually, try giving the Robobrain both the Construction Claw and Smoke Blaster, then it'll draw closer to the enemy for both the Smoke and Claw to do something helpful... Edit: also, go to the Federation Stockpile, it's filled with Raiders, turrets, and 1 Raider in Power Armor, so (s)he is basically a boss to your robot, testing you robots mantle better to deal with humans, and see what you need to improve better to make it more human resistant...

High Vis Harry I'm actually very surprised your Robobrain sniper build didn't work out for you... I say this because I made my own Robobrain Sniper build, twin laser snipers and all Robobrain parts with Voltaic attachments to maximize energy damage, and it turned out EXTREMELY well for me. I brought him against fights with leveled 95 supermutant overlords and levels 95 mythic deathclaws, along with all other types of enemies found in the Glowing sea, and he did *phenomenal* work on them, soloing them all on his own. He even got multiple headshots as well with both his sniper and mesmeteron attacks. This was all on "Very hard" difficulty as well My build was as follows: Name: Longshot Color: Dark Blue Voice:Low beep (He's the strong, silent type) Head Armor: Cyclops Helm(For increases mesmeteron head attack damage) Torso, Arms, and Leg Armor(All voltaic Robobrain armor pieces, for maximum energy damage) Torso extra:Tesla coils(Extra energy damage against melee attackers) And there we go. Longshot is amazing, he continually keeps his distance from enemies, stuns them with his mesmeteron attack, and no scope headshots every enemy he fights against. He's now one of my go to robot companions, right alongside White Paladin (My sentry),Two guns Codsworth(outfitted with gatling lasers and voltaic armor instead of miniguns like "Two guns Jackson" was), and Anhilator (my Assaulttron).

Alright, so, I finally got the chance to create my own robobrain variant. Robobrain head with cyclops mod. If you're going to use a robobrain, it only makes sense to power it's frequently used mesmetron attack. I kept the robobrain torso as it gave the most health without needing to worry about overheating. I would use the front hydraulic frame for when enemies got close and the rear voltaic frame to power up the wepons used for this build. As for the arms, I'd use either assaultron or sentry arms. Assaultron arms are a good idea as both arms will have guns attached so just incase an enemy gets close enough, the assaultron arms will do the most melee damage. As for the weapons, I'd use any sort of energy weapon so long as it's not the sniper laser or unstable gatling laser. The damage output isn't worth it on the sniper laser with such a poor fire rate, and the unstable gatling laser tends to break easily. I went with the standard automatic laser in one hand and the lighting gun in the other. Voltaic arm frames are suggested again. As for the legs, I went with the sentry legs to substitute not having a melee weapon. Because I was using the sentry legs for the charge attack, I went with both the left and right warmonger staggering plates to have a good chance to knockdown that pesky enemy that got too close. I used the rear actuated frame so my robot could keep up with me in the fight.

I use Robobrain for provisioners....usually with out either the head or whole upper body however. I did have Ada with a Robobrain head at one point but then I just replace the whole torso with Mister Handy body for more storage....... Then I have Jezebel, in Glorious Voltric Armour set with a lighting gun, survived two large raider attacks despite being the door guard at the Castle (yes I left exactly 1 Guard post left for her and her alone).
