Im sure I'm not the only person who has different suits for different occasions right?
@TrappedInFallout2 ай бұрын
No way, your not. I even have the same suit with slightly different colors applied.

One more thing you will need steel to repair Raider power armor, Overboss power armor, and T-45 power armor which is relatively cheap and easy to get resource. However for T-51 power armor, T-60 power armor, X-1 power armor, X-2 power armor, and Hellfire power armor you will need a lot of aluminium to repair it, and even to modify certain parts of you power armor. You can get aluminium from merchant Arturo (he sells it of a stack of 50), get a Scrapper perk to get it from breaking down weapons, or farm it from Mahkra Fishpacking location. Ps. On PC you can simply write the code to get your resources, but on consoles we actually have to farm them ourselves.

I did make sure to mention repair in this guide but I certainly could have gone into more detail. I mentioned that you can repair and that you use resources from your settlement workshop but equally could have mentioned pretty much what you said, how its different for different sets etc. Thanks for adding the info, much appreciated.

Wow, thank you so much. You really did not have to do that so I really appreciate the gesture. Thank you Bucephallus1.

- Explaining things that are obvious to every player who has ever played Fallot 4 is a wasted effort. The background screen in the main menu (the first thing you see in the game), has a power armor hooked up at a power armor station. I don't think anyone had any doubts on how to use it when they did their first playthrough. - How to get into a power armor is also explained in the "tutorial". Sturgis clearly explains how it works, and there are mission objectives in case anyone missed the dialogue. - Using the X-02, to showcase things, is unfortunate, since it has unique modifications and paint jobs. Here's how I would have done it: - Benefits & Drawbacks - Strength goes to 11 regardless of initial stats. This means better melee, unarmed and carry capacity. Damage resistance compaired to regular armor. Having to repair it every now and then (having to haul some materials for that). Limited sneak capabilities. Things like that aren't included in any tutorial, so that's where I would start. - Gameplay - How does a PA affect playstyle, and builds? Are there any benefits for certain weapons? Any bugs? - Modifications - Everyone can read what the menu says, but what does it really do? How much bleed does Rusty Knucles add? Is it worth it? And so on... - Upgrading from Mk. I to Mk. VI. What does it mean, apart from "better"? What's the difference between damage resistance and health on any of the parts? Does damage resistance go down along with the health of a specific part? - Adding knowledge, like... Each of the vanilla PA's have a unique paintjob connected to one of the main factions. T-45: Minutemen, T-51: Railroad, T-60: BoS, X-01: Institute. Things that are easily missed. I'm not saying these things because I want to make fun out of your work. I want your material to be something that I really look forward to seeing. The only way to achieve that, is to make content that is based on proper knowledge and experience. Do the testing and find out what things actually do! I hope I managed to deliver this constructive critizism in a positive way. That's at least how it was intended! And finally... Did anyone catch the Spinal Tap reference? Strength goes to 11...

Thanks for your comment and feedback. Nope, no harm at all - it's all good feedback for my to reflect on. This was intended as a guide to help out anyone at any level. True, things are explained in game but it's not clear always and at times things are explained just the once and never again. I also explain things that have been said in game as an 'intro' to other functional areas otherwise it would feel like I am skipping bits. I suppose one may be happy with the level of detail I go into as it could easily be missed but perhaps not too. It's just the way I convey the info. But thank you still for sharing, it's given me food for thought for sure.

The one caveat I'd mention is that wearing power armor negates any benefits of armor or clothing.
@TrappedInFallout2 ай бұрын
Ah thanks, in hindsight I probably should have mentioned that. Many thanks for sharing.
