A friend and I fought our way to the location for the start of the Enclave faction quest. Be wary, a lot of the areas it wants you to visit are pretty high level. Still, the rewards and faction gear are worth it. This video contains spoilers for the Enclave quest, obviously.

yeah, i expected more implementation of faction stuff. there isnt like, any external indicator of what faction you chose. i would have figured there would be some kind of indicator next to player names or like, literally anything. but there arent. the only sort of faction indicator is the photo mode frames which unlock upon completion of a couple of quests. factions basically dont mean anything beyond being able to access a few locations and access specific items. and you can conceivably max out your level with every faction; you arent restricted to one or the other. so it basically doesnt matter and everything theyve said about factions has been hyping up literally nothing significant.

I was screaming internally hoping you'd try it and open it up so we could see lol. Thanks for this though, gonna continue my enclave quest tomorrow. I found the beginning right as the beta was wrapping up for today and though tthat the holotape was on one of the deathclaws or something. Really glad that it's just in a nest lol

Vocu once you get them, they get added to your crafting list. you can make them at any tinkerers bench.

In FNV they mentioned brotherhood east of Deniver, where vault 0 would be. In F4 they mentioned a fleet of airships made by the brotherhood that were lost to history.

star heaven It’s considered semi-canon if I recall correctly. Some of the stuff in it was a bit lore breaking, but they liked a lot of the concepts in it. So they want to keep it up for interpretation as to what really happened and what didn’t.

Michael DiAcri there are specific public events that become enclave events if you have that quest stage. for example, the bot stop event where a bunch of robots come out of pods and you have to fend off waves of enemies

Ten bucks says MODUS goes on to gather enough intelligence to create the John Henry Eden persona. I love this concept so much. Too bad its not a single player experience. This wouldve been a perfect faction to be the head of and recruiting NPCs into or something. Start out with robots, slowly build the Enclave. It couldve represented the "no NPCs" vibe they were going for originally. I'll give Bethesda this; theyve certainly continued to come up with intriguing and downright awesome ideas. I just wish they weren't always connected to an ancient engine full of bugs and a tacked on fallout 4 multiplayer expansion.

Having the Enclave in FO76 is a completely missed opportunity to introduce a new faction. The US government is two factions in the real world, Enclave are obviously conservatives so they are one half of the government, they could have introduced the liberal side in FO76. The side that wasn't in power during the war with china and were not invited to the covert oil rig party but were kept in the dark and only knew about White springs… And throw in some reason for their not being in the bunker during FO76 with a mysterious named location they are at. Bethesda would have had an all new faction to generate speculation to use in a future game. they could be together in a future game in conflict against each other. It's the same thing with BOSS in FO4, missed opportunity. They could have made a commonwealth specific faction that like BOSS was started by prewar military survivors with no connection to BOSS and a complete different ideology. That opens the ability to have them verses BOSS in a future game or even better have both the Lyons version of BOSS and the new faction in FO4 join forces against another new faction based out of New York City, call them The Corporates... a faction that acts just like prewar corporate America, pure evil. Then East coast BOSS and the new faction become one all new faction with the BOSS side being governing thanks to the Lyons teaching Maxson compassion and hoarding technology isn't the answer and the Boston side being military. That new faction can be used against the other factions in later games. Instead we get BOSS and Enclave in FO76 as not but fanservice and proof the Bethesda writers are lacking in imagination.

BOS doesn't belong in FO76 full stop except maybe a radio transmission that was recorded and that should be Maxson calling for other military survivors to join him before they started calling themselves BOS. In FO4 BOS was a wasted opportunity to create a new faction that could be used to either rival or join BOS in a later game.. or just not even be there and make the Minutemen ending canon.. It will be the BOS ending that is canon though. As for Enclave I agree I don't think they would call themselves that 25 years after the war, they would think of themselves as the US government still. But I still think including them in FO76 was again a missed opportunity to create a new faction that could be used in a later game. A new faction that was the opposing political party.

you get some stuff after you get all the commendations. until then, you have to buy it in the production wing. there are enclave specific plasma weapons and high level armor (requiring level 40).

Well you already kinda spoiled most of the story by saying in the Title/thumbnail "Found the Enclave!" "Enclave Faction quest" Now I know there is an arc involving the Enclave and now I know 100% they are in the game instead of being happy/shocked when I play it myself in a few days -_- Since the enclave wasn't in Fallout 4 it wasn't a guarantee they were going to be in just some hints and speculations now thats another thing I can add to the list of "would have been cool if someone didn't spoil it."
