I've recently started building unique camps and I must say these short tutorials are wonderful. Short, sweet, and to the point. They are very helpful because you focus on only 1 technique per video and don't confuse the novice and intermediate builder with too many things at once. I recently ran into the no space for foundation to place a double wall, and had to redo half my build. This is a completely new trick for me and I thank you kindly for it. Not a double wall related question but perhaps you would know the answer: Is it possible to glitch upper floors onto half walls on console? I just started playing 76 on Xbox and am trying to build a fort with a split level in it. I saw a video where another youtuber did it but did not explain it very well. Any ideas?

As far as I'm aware you can only add upper floors to staircases. You are asking me to explain something you don't understand so you are probably not describing it well. You can do anything on console that you can do on PC, except some people on PC use mods. Give me a link to the video maybe? You can create split levels with foundations, use the sloped foundation to raise foundations by a half floor height or roofs. If you want an upper floor at the height of a half wall, place a foundation as low as possible, add a sloped foundation and add a foundation next to it. Add a staircase to the higher foundation (going down in to the ground), remove the higher foundation and sloped foundation. Add an upper floor to the staircase. Does this work for an upstairs? I dont have foundation there just a nirmal floor. Cant get it to work and i unfortunately dont have the barn set yet.

If you want a double wall upstairs you have to put a double wall below it. Or try putting an upper floor the other side instead of a foundation. Some walls will double wall some won't.. The base game wood wont, nor the Helvetia set, the scrappy set or the log cabin set.

Some sets don't double wall well. Start with the barn set and then convert to the haunted house set

Normally you put two foundations down and add two doorways to double wall. This is for situations where you can't put a second foundation down.

I've figured out a way, it's not elegant but it works, you will need catwalks and a flamer trap

It's not a perfect fix, but works for terrain issues... Put a foundation down, add your half wall and destroy it. Put another half wall somewhere on the foundation and build catwalks around to the front. It has to be coming in from the front... Attach a half wall. Repair the destroyed wall.

Looks like it was patched, most building tricks were, i can't even use my wall-rug glitch anymore to freeplace walls...

You can free place walls with a blue print of a wall, a catwalk attached to the top and a small floor object

I did it yesterday it still works, some walls won't double wall so use the barn set and then swap them out for the set you want

@@FoxyMoxii are you using the barn doorway? It doesn't work with some walls, because double walling doesn't work with some walls, basic wood, log cabin, broken set, whitesprings set, probably others

I have tried it with every wall type. I originally did it with the Helvetia wall and it worked. Now it doesn’t, I even made the same set up you did and nothing. It also says it’s obstructed sometimes

I always recommend getting a flamer trap, you need it to double wall half and top wall arches. I've done it 4 times lol Although the 2nd time, Rose's quest kept glitching out and I had to do it 4 times!

Make sure that you are converting the doorway to a plain wall and use a try a different door, not sure if they all work
