I use this trick to put eye catching wallpaper on the outside of my camps and put them in heavily travelled areas to get those walk in shopper caps

@lukebirt6560 it only works with certain walls and it has to be a doorway. I recommend the barn walls. You can buy the plan from the whitesprings for like 300 caps

THIS IS SO SOLID. Hundreds of hours and I forget about things like the flamethrower trick and mannequin on pressure plate tricks. Definitely gonna use these!! ❤

I suppose a good tip, location doesn’t always matter but certain areas a really great for starting out such as nearby Anchor Farm which is a little north of 76- free work benches, decent loot to borrow from your neighbors, free crops and if you build close enough you can steal their water

I also recommend Flatwoods, i settled there atop the firefighters roof with my new character, it has everything you might need, an easy lead farm from the weights in the building with the pool, plenty of items with screws, along the river there's every plant to craft disease cures and salve + sugar, plenty of brahmin for food and milk to get rid of rads without curing mutations and and a workshop and a super easy event nearby. Oh and the vendor in town for inventory management

Couple tips to add on. Getting wires through ceilings is easy, just simple put a sky facing conduit with the one lead pipe on the top of the roof or other surface (I did this with the scout tent to get clean looking power inside). Then connect the ground facing conduit, it should connect through allowing a wire, if it doesn't play around with it a little. Also, I never see this in other camps but I do it on almost all of mine. The scrapbox is ugly and makes it hard to fit into theme camps. Best way I learn to hide this is to buy the dresser plans from the whitesprings and you'll want to use the clean classic flattop dresser. You can merge it down where just the lid of the scrapbox is showing and it makes it look like a wooden tool chest.

I’ve been seeing some really cool camps lately where they build as close as possible to unmarked locations w faction npcs spawned. Gave his camp an extra 3 brotherhood guards for his camp.

You can also bug the pressure plate to stay down by building it, then move it slightly left or right. When you place it the second time it will be stuck in the down position until you step on it.

Hey T0nik. Good guide. I just wanted to add to the CAMP spawn that you spawn in different points depending on how far you traveled to get there. I have a similar situation with one secluded CAMP where I land at the bottom of a cliff when I travel to it, but if you fast travel to it again, you land on the road facing it. Keep this in mind when travelling to distant CAMPs as it's usually significantly easier than finding the way up.

You can also get the advanced power connectors right out of the vault in the lumbermill down the hill, the responders sell it for only 250 caps. I got lucky and made my new toon the same day the atom shop offered 250 caps so i basically bought it for free lmao.

Tnx! I did find a way to merge/push items up with the plate and not down. A cool trick done the same way but close to a slope on the ground😊

The pressure plate dont need to be stepped on to activate it. Once you place it just pick it up and place it again, not store it just pick it up. Once its re-placed it will activate itself. I do this every time and once in a while you do have to store it but just place it and move it a little again and you're good to go.

I also think ennemies spawn on the camp module so be sure to put turrets near it if you want to protect your camp.

You don't have to step on the plate or use a mannequin. Just grab it and drop an inch away, that will activate the pressure plate

Thank you, and there are a few trailer prefabs! Sometimes you will see them in the atomic shop. And there are a few nice trailers around that map that you can build in. One of my favorite trailers is at 2:43 in this camp location video! kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3qllKOberaCaLM

One of the best trailer prefab is the Makeshift Mansion. It's 3 trailers stacked on each other. Makes for a great camp in the ash heap. Otherwise the other trailer prefab are pretty dingy. The only issue I had with the mansion is the flooring can be odd to build on when decorating the top trailer.
