Very inspiring build. I saw you do this on happy builder and did it in adventure mode. Took forever to do and I had to put foundations at the bottom of the camp to do it, but I got it.

I hate the building System in adventure Mode , The happy builder one is fantastic they should introduce some Features into the adventure mode one...however nice build 👍

Use a wooden foundation, drop metal stairs from it, then a floor The hitbox for it is ridiculously tight, but it is possible in adventure mode I used your video for inspiration on a Cliffside Bunker that I'm working on

It's there as part of the item. The desk is Leo's ally station so it comes pre decorated.

I know. I've turned the speed down a lot but the movement is still pretty uncomfortable to me. I haven't really felt like it's made building any easier.

built this for my girlfriend in adventure mode and ohhh myyyy worst experience ever but got it done. alot of messing around with stairs and roofs and most importantly using foundations for the bottom floor was key!! edit/tip: found that building down with stair then placing floors then putting a stair post under the stair tab would allow me to snap the 1st and 2nd floor stairs under the first floor as long as you have the patience to snap it to the post!! and then i would allow me to delete the post then the floor then the stairs when otherwise it would not

If you move a little north from that spot, theres an area with a bit of a landing with a much clearer view of the area Its my favorite spot for builds

interesting idea this vid inspired. what about doing a clifside camp based on the mobile game Fallout shelters? stairs in the middle with rooms coming off each side and theme all the rooms to look like the ones from the game and leave the outside walls off to display it. ive seen a cool shelter in 76 do it but putting it on display on the mountains for passers by to spot easily. i love the GIANT CHUNK OF ULTRACITE next to the door for some reason, it strikes me as such a very fallout thing- Front door giant radioactive rock! XD and i like the use of the stair well extensions to scatter the workstations through the build, so much more realistic than having it all in one spot and really helps the enjoyment of the whole camp, especially one with such scenery to take in! im sorry to hear about your poor health, my whole family got the lurgy over the turning of the year as well, its been rotten. glad you are feeling better, and i look forward to another year of your top shelf content.

I think the challenge with imitating Fallout Shelter would be size primarily. This place is already pretty close to the budget. I like the thought of building something that can be viewed from a distance, but I suspect that there would be issues with it loading in. With this spot I could see the camp from the top of the monorail but not from the ground at the bottom. It sounds like there's quite a bit of flu going around this year. I guess people easing off the COVID precautions will have that effect. Happy to be feeling better now though. 😁

@@DarthXionGames ah, I hadn't thought about the loading in aspect. But I've seen some cool split dollhouse builds that are pretty huge. They are more sparse on decorating and general camp tatt, but if it's a display piece it's more about the first impression. Idk, I might have a go, even if it's not a full mountain cliff build it might be fun. Yeah, I think people getting lax after Covid might have led to all the illness. Good point mate.

I joined Fallout 76 just a month ago. I'm a destiny 2 player that was getting a bit bored with the grind and I found Fallout 76. I've been enjoying the Chinese Stealth Suit but I've gotten into building an underground (under the mesh) base off a cliff and watching this made me realize some of the failures i've been coming across, thanks for all the great tips....

It's fun to build with fewer restrictions sometimes. The lack of cross progression with other worlds reduces the usefulness though unfortunately. You can use it for grinding score but for anything else you really need to be in adventure mode, which means you don't have access to your happy builder camps. The servers reset regularly too. 😕 Still: If the goal is just to build then it's fun for that.

This will probably sound a bit silly but if you 'dress up' the conduits, they're less ugly while in use. For wall conduits, I use the starburst clock and actually use the wire glitch to pull it through the walls. For floors I use potted plants to hide the conduits in the foliage and glitch the wires through the ceiling/ floor. It makes it so much cleaner and more streamlined and I don't have to mess with the conduit pipes which don't always fit build aesthetics. And the best part is that the clock and plant wire glitch works beautifully in both Happy Builder and Adventure Mode. Like you, I don't enjoy having wires everywhere like a spider web so I've had to get pretty creative with powering my camps. 😁

They're not the most tidy of things. I usually manage to hide them ok, either but putting the conduits on the roof out of sight or up near the ceilings. This one was more awkward with everything needing to be inside though.

*See I need this build in my play through* I can’t stand massive castles that doesn’t benefit my play. This build is perfect everything is in one location. Your crafting,food,bed and a few decorations. *Now how do I implement this in my game😂*

The hard part is building it in adventure mode. From what I can tell, it's possible... but kind of a nightmare. On the other hand if what you want is compact camps with everything you could need in them I've got a playlist with a lot of possibilities. 😳 Not so many modern style ones though.

The trick to having it in adventure mode is to build it close enough to where you can snap a foundation to the bottom stairs in the cliff. Also you can snap the stars to the top foundation using catwalks and then delete the catwalk after it’s in place and the stairs stay there.

So what skins did you use for the floors etc? Those stairs and floor with wood look sick. 😊

The floors are "Pallet Wood" floors. I'm fairly sure they're from one of the Atomic Shop bundles. The stairs are "Metal Stairs", with frames I think. They have the atomic shop symbol so I guess that's where they came from but they've ben around for so long I cant really remember.

@LoGiiKzTV it would probably be a nightmare in adventure mode if it's doable at all. The biggest problem I think would be that you have to build from the top down, but upper floors won't snap to foundations in adventure mode. I'm not sure how you'd get around that tbh.

I dont understand why its so difficult for Bethesda to give us more building freedom in adventure mode?

The main reason is to prevent people from abusing it. There have been cases in the past where camps have been set up in a way that has a negative impact on other people, or are used to farm world events or to glitch other public events. They could also block other players quest progression if they were built in certain places. The budget also has to do with server performance. They've been able to improve that a lot over the years but camps apparently do have a significant impact on how the world runs.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean here, but on PC the mouse wheel moves things backwards and forwards. There's other things that you can do to move things on interesting and helpful ways too. On console I'd imagine it involves the bumpers. 😎

I’m entirely guessing, but if you mean pulling them towards you, I know on PS, you select the item and hold X then use the control sticks to move them away or pull them towards you.
