It would be cool if you could be scorched. With all scorched players on the server being able to share a chat amongst each other. I played an mmorpg game years ago that had a psychic class you could pick which had the innate ability to chat with all other players on that server of the same class no matter the faction/alignment/race. No other player class had access to that chat.

The scorched could work..we got a vaccine so we wouldn't get infected by the scorched..so a quest where we get our imminity shattered and we get infected..partly becoming a scorched..our mind partly connected to the hivemind but we still have free will

I have a very strong feeling that it will 👀 Just from looking at the perks, most of them seem anti low health bloodied or basically hinder bloodied potential 🤔 As a low health build and understanding that a lot of players would love to see a switch in the build tier list, I really hope this does that!

@@ArandomPerson7996no, you can’t. Ghouls being mutually exclusive from bloodied is the only thing we know for sure. Ghouls can’t take rads at all, so keeping 80% health gives similar benefits, would influence many to make the switch. and that’s just tip of the iceberg of possibilities.

I think it would be better to make a more serious choice. Make it to where becoming a ghoul is permanent with some serious debuffs but to balance it out have some perks to make it worth it. For example immunity to radiation and radiation heals you. Ghouls are no longer hostile towards you. Add a feral meter. Certain things like cannibalism for example make you feral quicker. Bethesda should lean real heavily into the role playing aspect and make being a ghoul like an actual playable race and not just like something that affects your appearance only. Maybe even adding a feature where you can be a feral ghoul but you can no longer communicate and you can only use melee weapons and then there can be a quest where other ghouls try and help you regain your sense of self. I just think they have a chance of doing something really special but it all looks so cheap at the moment.

With having a feral meter, snd if the take influence from the show where "The Ghoul" took drugs to stave off becoming feral, it might suggest a good synergy with Junkies full health build. Junkies used to be one of the better full health builds, maybe it'll make a come back.

Yeah I seen that yesterday when I put the outfit on for the first time, my smile bandana mask and sunglasses I usually wear were still on and I was like …. Huh, that’s pretty neat 😅 I will definitely try the raider pathfinder mask for sure! You should also try the plague doctor mask and also the covert scout mask with it, they both look awesome 🤩

I was concerned about ghoulifying my main because I have 3 UNY armor sets and 2 full OE PA sets on that guy. Knowing that I can just revert if I don't like the ghoul perks is reassuring. Now the challenge will be rolling a full OE SS set

i really hope we can look drastically different from other ghouls, ever since fo4 the ghoul design is just copy and pasted onto every single ghoul male or female and they just look so bad like a wrinkly finger. I've been leveling up a second character just for the ghoulification since the idea of 'switching back and forth at will' sounds like absolute Mary Sue bullsh*t. Mine's brotherhood of Steel, no other faction storylines as yet (or planned). Looking forward to the challenge! =)

the concept of a ghoul does sound cool, but the perks and info for now is lackluster and actually garbage(just from those 4 perks). I sure hope they get a reality check and bring in actual humans to bring ideas and make the game, not the fossils that I presume they have >.>

You'll be able to acquire 4 star legendary effects for your weapons, armor and power armor from the new Vault Raids mode and from 4 star legendary enemies 🎉🎉

It's probably a huge stretch, but since the potential addition of more races was mentioned... what about intelligent deathclaws? Would be sick as hell running at mach speeds and ripping things to shreds, but using guns would be nigh impossible. That's probably too much work, but hey, just an idea.

Ghouls heal radiation damage so will not really be able to be a traditional bloodied build. As far as lowering resistance since ghouls heal from radiation it likely means lowering the resistance so they can take in more rads to heal themselves. But who knows if these cards will even stay the same given the changes to a lot of perks on the PTS now, these placeholders might be changing.

6:50 while a bit far fetched, I do wonder if with how nuke happy 76 is, could marked men be a possibility for 76? sure it would require figuring out how they can: -live outside of heavily irradiated areas (most of the map is, infact, not heavily irradiated) -how to not make them OP as hell (marked men in lonesome road are very strong) actually, could make it where to survive you could craft an item that emits passive radiation that, in turn for letting you live, could be expensive to maintain or heavy or smthn, while still giving marked men their passive healing far fetched? probably but hey, gotta love the exposed muscle bois

Ooooohhhh that would be cool if Marked men were a thing 👀 I mean technically from a lore perspective it wouldn’t really matter, as in Marked Men were just members of the NCR and members of the Legion, so having Marked Men wouldn’t really be specific to the Divide / New Vegas. If they are even considering adding in super mutants then they should really hold back in some of those perks, some of them are far too OP for a ghoul. Arms of steel and thick skin are more in line with a super mutant. I wonder if they would ne able to hold mutations aswell, i feel like ghouls could but mutants couldnt due to FEV preventing any further alterations to their genes? I think of ghouls strengths as being just as hardy to rads as mutants, but more intelligent than a super mutant and less physically tough. Another benefit they tend to have, is they are highly experienced from years of surviving such as cooper Howard, which wouldnt work with vault dwellers. Also you should be able to interact with ferals and them not attack, but some humans will always attack.

Yeah I kind of feel already that those perks might be a bit OP but until it’s in the live game, hopefully they keep to their word and not make ghouls too overpowered 🫣 I am quite interested to see how this will effect mutations and also if feral ghouls will still be hostile! So it hasn't been clarified if all of the perks will be available straight away. I assume and this is my own take on it, not official, but I assume we'll more than likely have to rank them up and unlock them with perk points, similar to how we unlock and rank up cards now.

I'd like to play as an assaultron - maybe a special model with more humanoid hands so they can use weapons. You couldn't wear armor, but could upgrade your own armor plating. Maybe use various energy ammo as "fuel " instead of food...

Yeah the perk points for the cards are high, I mean level 6 perk? But on the other hand we do have level 5 perk cards at the moment so maybe this could be a ghoul specific thing that you need perks that high to balance out the build overall compared to the builds we have now 🤔

I wish they would think outside the box more. Make the ghoul overpowered. But the drawback is not being human. Think of the things you could modify with that; increased vendor prices, low faction ratings or no gains at all, low reward gain, but the plus is that you are "Overpowered". I haven't seen a game work on a setting like that and it would interesting.

So as I mentioned, there will be a quest line where you come across a scavenger who needs assistance who’s currently going through the ghoulification process and needs your help, I assume he probably gives a place to go to to find said thing that’s turning people into ghouls and you’ll be faced with the option to turn into one yourself ☺️ You’ll also have the option to switch back so don’t worry about being temporary! Kind of like taking a mutation and using a radaway to get rid of it 🤘🏻
