Fallout 76 | POWER ARMOR MODS! WHAT TO KNOW

Hey what’s up guys?
In today’s Video I thought I’d go over all the power armor mods available to us in Fallout 76 and what each one does since a lot of people including myself don’t know the purpose of a majority of them. Since I recently released an updated version of “what’s the best power armor” I figured now would be the perfect time to look into the mods you could use for them. I’ll be linking my sources in the description and top comment if you’d like to do some in depth reading on the topic yourself from the original author! With that being said, let’s get into it.

Explosive vents are still 100% not working. At least on x01

For the most part you can find a majority of them for all power armor sets, there are some that are limited but to avoid being incorrect I refrained from mentioning which sets had access to them. The Source has which sets listed but it conflicted with other sites I did research on so it was getting confusing to the point I just left that info out.

HAs anyone ever figured out what the so-called experience boost is per point of intelligence added? I can't really tell the difference.

For those who do not know, while wearing a full set of power armor you ignore 42% of all incoming damage, with the emergency Protocols, you ignore 50% of the remaining damage leading to 79% damage ignored, pairing that with the perk "line wanderer" you can ignore the maximum of 92% of damage, but the damage ignored Max's out at 90%. Pairing this with fireproof and blocker at max rank, you become invincible (or close to it) and can just sit in front of the queen without dying

While it does make you very tanky, nothing about this is accurate.

@@E1m0ren I quite literally tested this for over a month and was able to just sit in one spot and just tank whatever came at me, and what about what I said isn't accurate?

@@grimgarfurwaithnear4271 I didn't say it wasn't extremely tanky (power armor with any damage reduction perks is hysterically tanky in any context in this game) - I said the information as to why it's tanky isn't accurate. Anyone who cares enough to test it will see that, anyone who just wants to be tanky won't and doesn't care. No problem. Just noting for the min/maxers out there.

I use emergency protocols on my bolstering sets, I don't think the extra speed matters because I have speed demon but having that extra damage resistance is nice since I use it for low health and bloodied builds

@@639wheeler back when I made the comment power armor couldn't be legendary, but emergency protocols is very good for bloodied power armor builds, although a lot of my info from the original comment is no longer applicable in the current state of the game outside of the damage negation only effecting the remaining damage after the previous The legendary perk that gives a chance to auto revive while in power armor is also a great match

Great video dude, should note though that recon sensors don't work in PVP anymore which is rubbish, can't tag the stealth players anymore ☹

On my T60 I use medic Pump and recon sensors. I don’t PVP but it does work well against Griefers.

Apparently medic pump is good because unlike the perk card it will keep feeding you stims so if you go under 20% heal and the instantly go back under it the medic pump will give you another stim making you sorta invincible ( the card that does this will give you one stim every minute so it’s not as useful as medic pump but you lose access to the jet pack

Intelligence gives a hidden bonus of 2% xp gain. An internal database giving plus 2 intelligence provides a 4% xp gain buff

Intelligence gives you more XP so the internal database allows you to get a bit more XP, now imagine having 15 Intelligence, egg head mutation (I think it gives you +6 intelligence) then add the Internal data base you’ll get a lot of XP. Anyway I still think having unyielding armor is way better for getting those extra special stats

Interesting report on PA. For the calibrated shocks to the Strangler Heart PA, is there a reliable way for someone to find it? And it is assumed that is the same for calibrated shocks to the Ultracite PA.

i feel like it would have been better for you to also give your own personal experiences with said mods and how you used them as well as maybe compare them to one another like KD and CA, because i like the video and the work went to it, but it does feel like that you were just reading straight from the reddit post at times, especially the Kinetic Dynamo and Emergency Protocol parts

unfortunately you cannot, earlier in the games life they were so much easier to come by idky Bethesda changed how often they drop now, you best bet is to pay someone to put it on your legs for you

Scorchbeast drop Ultracite based power armor mods and recipes. Brotherhood of Steel Events rewards Power Armor Mods, can also be bought at watoga. Raider Vendors in Pleasant Valley Ski Resort and Pleasant Valley Station may sell raider power armor mods. Enclave Vendors (the production and command MODUS terminals) at the Whitespring Bunker will sell X01 Power Armor mods. Excavator you can buy from the vendor bot by welch. this is information most people know just by casually playing the game.

Mark Jackson I pvp in power armor and win all the time tbh. Bloodied builds are meta but useless in PVP as the damage cap is 100 so they’re squishy with all that low health
