I agree.. I even use Dodgy on my low health commando & with 600+ AP from Unyielding, mutations, apparel, etc I can't even tell when it triggers.

@@JDub0623 One of Turtles previous videos he went over the differences of wearing 3 versus 5 powered items and while there was 'some' gains, it was very marginal after 3 pieces. They stack with Action Boy/Girl also because they don't affect the rate you gain AP but instead affect how many action points you get per tick. I am personally going to try for 5 food/drink/chem pieces of the excavator with 3 powered and the other 2 with poison resist. I really have not settled on a number 1 yet. But I might do a mix of 15 stat reductions (mutant, trouble shooters, assassin's, etc) Not hunters though. The food drink chem for me would free up more card points to change to different options.

I love the idea of Power Armor designed for civilian utility use. Can't get much more hardcore than a walking mining rig, designed for punching boulders. Now, if only there was a dedicated Fire Fighter Power Armor.

Crafted a juggernauts 50cal with explosive and +1 agility. That thing decimates at full health in SS armor. Switching to PA for stabilized for the anti armor, was gonna try for hellcats for the ballistic DR but I think you made a stellar point about excavator

Excavator for the win I am currently working on a mutant set with a variety of weapon reduction and junk reduction and I have been rocking the firefighter skin for the excavator since the day it came out. I run heavy gunner and melee and I like to carry a lot of guns on me. Honestly thank you for the heads up on legendary crafting cuz as soon as you mentioned it in your videos I started hoarding modules unfortunately I have burned through all of them already LOL

I'm running Excavator with 5x ammo reduction. It replaces bandolier, ordnance express and batteries included = 8 perk points. I can carry all explosive ammo, grenades, cores, ballistic and energy ammo I want and can play with many different guns and have room for other perks. Still have lots of carry weight available to farm guns for junk and caps, if needed. It took me around 200 legendary modules (and one piece dropped from SBQ), so I consider myself very lucky. Unfortunately none have AP regen, so I'm farming modules to roll new pieces with ammo+AP (and want one piece with poison resistance). I'll probably be happy with my set in a year or two 😂

I just finished my set of one star overeaters on my excavator. It's great for tanking all 3 bosses as I also use a vampires shredder minigun. This set you have angry turtle looks great too, we can now carry all our food, water, chems, and weapons on us too free our stash! Now watch the value go up on excavator weapon weight reduction lol.

T-65 + jetpack full hp build. Thats is my favorite,i cannot die, i can solo everything, i can jump and go wherever i want and i can have all the fun in the world. I don't care about carry weight, because creating ammo is super easy(legendary perk) and when you max out you no longer need to scrap so there is no need to pick anything. Also i dont carry stimpaks or radaways, they are useless. PA build is the go to if you are lazy, want to be immortal and be able to kill/solo everything on your way.

I have 3 frames. Excavator has always had a slot. It's the workhorse. I wonder if since patch, solo White springs loops will work better. I used to love nuking WS and doing the full loop on my sprinter melee power armor build(pain train is just fun as hell), but at some point the respawn mechanics just broke completely. Even if you gave it a solid 10 minutes, bringing another character to the location was not generating enemies. It was a fun way to farm stabilizers (rad fluid, masses), and farm a nice amount of xp and do it in a kinda active fun way. You can actually do it in a group if everybody goes through together and regroups at train station for resets.

Off subject but.. I've been farming west tek and if you're a low HP build, the toxic goo (green water) on the floor under the broken decontamination showers is great. You can just collect it. If you die you can get your rads back where they should be really quickly. Also if you use the scrapper perk and drop your survival tent outside you get tons of steel and plastic from all those guns you collect in there.

My Secret Service armor has 20% weapon weight reduction per piece plus deep pocketed so the power armor actually makes me over encumbered when i use it, I only use my Excavator power armor when I'm harvesting ore.

I use my T-65 mainly but I bring an excavator suit with me. It's only an extra 10lbs and I can swap into it when I need to grab a lot of items. I also use that paint for both suit, I think it looks awesome on excavator.

Excavator is always OP even when it's not legendary!!! 100 bonus carry weight and double mining resources are well worth the minor hit to damage resistance compared to other types of PA

I wouldn’t say minor. It has like half the dr and er of t-65. Only time I find the excavator useful personally is when I’m mining. My weights set up to where I always have atleast 100 pounds of free space so the extra carry weight is pretty much useless to me.

Yeah the numbers might show a bigger difference but in terms of actual damage taken it's not that much... And I can't speak for anyone else but me... and I'm a massive hoarder xD so each pound of carry weight I can get is always worth it to me xD I'm almost always above 450 pounds of stuff on my character xD xD xD

Hey Turtle - I have finished my overeaters excavator. My result; Full OE excavator, emergency protocols and nerd rage. At 20% health, the Queen hits me for 3 damage. Not 3%, 3hp. A glowing behemoth hits me for 2(5 on power attack) and Earle hits me for 6. It is insanely overpowered. I've also discovered, and I feel dirty saying this, that OE PA and a railway rifle with a vats crit build is probably the most powerful build in the game right now, as long as you have electric absorption and power user in. At 50% health with rank1 born survivor, Quad ffr or quad 50crit railway, I pretty much cannot be killed, 2 shot super mutants and can solo the Queen in under 5 minutes. Give it a try, it's beyond silly.

I currently have 2 sets of PA that I use My original Excavator that I crafted after finishing the quest, and a mish mash set of legendary pieces that I call my "combat armor" I haven't even bothered putting any legendaries on the Excavator because I only use it when I need the extra weight to fast travel But after seeing this video I think I might legendary my Excavator and just use it for everything Thanks for showing the true potential of the "beginner's power armor"

Also Packing Light perk card under Agility stacks with WWR armor as well. Pistols aren’t very heavy but any pipe weapon or energy rifle becomes a pistol when you put a grip on it. That’s a lot more 99% RW weapons!

For me the must have third star is the reduced Food, Drink, and Chems carry weight. It is two for one on perk cards and with my vampire's build that is just easy caps to carry around with me. Now I just need to reroll my main star to be Overeaters as I'm usually topped off on those bars for the buffs.

For me FDC really makes a lot of sense when you spend a lot of time in power armor, since you don't have access to the grocer or chemist backpack that would immediately free up 3 perk slots. And IMHO food and aids still have the best price-to-weight ratio when it comes to resellable loot. At full resale price (>20 CHA and/or Hard Bargain 3 plus Grape Mentats), stimpaks sell for about 10 apiece, at a weight of one. that means four stims will net you more than the average laser rifle looted from a super mutant. Do a couple of daily ops and you'll find yourself maxing out the daily cap limit on chems alone.

I still have the level 25 I’ve had since launch on Xbox. After getting the red scarce from atom shop when it first came out and able to put a jet pack on it I will never change it, best power armor ever. Even on pc where I don’t have the jet pack I still won’t change power armor

Been going crazy for wwr pieces for my excavator. Only got the legs. The rest is ammo weights which I don’t think matter. For my other PA I’m going crazy for ap refresh. It feels like they messed with the refresh rate since the update. Then again could be the lag.

I figure combine that with energy absorption and it will show people how truly silly they were for thinking unyielding pa would be "OP"

If you don't need as much carry weight as this you could also still carry an huge amount of weapons with 20% reduced weapon weight on a better defensive set of power armor like hellcat or whatever you want. I'm pretty sure if he was wearing hellcat pa with the same legendary effects his carrying capacity would be 148/286 while still carrying the same amount of weapons.

From what I understand about Fallout's damage reduction, the Excavator Power Armor's DR won't be as effective as T-65 or Hellcast against single massive blows, but they'll stop most conventional weapon fire just fine. Throw in Fireproof for good measure.

@Fotachi george constantin all PA have 42% dmg reduction and 90% for Radiation. And yea its just minmaxing. 11 or 14 is still a difference. And the 12% ballistic (Hellcat) are also damage reduction so more or less the Hellcat got not just 42 it got 54%

I only wear power armor in certain situations but when do it’s always Excavator power armor. I love the look and extra carry capacity. I like the Scabber skin with a Mr Fuzzy helmet.

I have to double check my characters and get rid of those pieces. I’ll let my Mom know as well, she loves this game but the struggle to fast travel is real. 👍🏼

i love my legendary excavator. Extra carry capacity, extra mining, and with the right legendary perks it's great. I have some pretty nice effects on mine. between with and without power armor, I end up with like, 20+ less weight from the bonuses, plus the 100 extra from the armor is great. I love mixing it with heavy weapons. They end up weighing like, 1lb haha

I support the message of excavator being best, your super mutant test run was just silly though considering I use excavator to solo earl and sb queen with no problems at all lol. Also I use negative junk weight and negative food/drink weight and break down the weapons at the tinkers inside west tek rather than waiting till I get back to camp.. took me a few days of rolling my excavator pieces but I got a pretty almost perfect set now for what I wanted so hard to complain.

Honestly, excavator power armor really is the best because it gives you 100 more carry weight and even though it has the lowerest defences, you're still a tank and you're literally never going to die. Just slap on born survivor or auto stim legendary now and yea, you're never going to die. The extra defence you get from the other power armors really don't seem to make that much of a difference honestly.

My mule got a full set of normal weight reduction armor (weapons) and all usefull perks. The Mule can carry around 500. Backpack gives you 120 while excav is only 100. Easy math for me^^

my Main (Fallout First account) I made a Overeaters Hellcat armor set my Non 1st 2nd Account I made him Excavator as well, I just paint it because im not a fan of its look, Hope they coke out with more colors for hellcat besides Crap Brown. (while building) to set up 5 Armor displays, One for Human, Robot, Scorched, Mutant, and Did last Chameleon (to test PA Stealth) but it May go to Ghoul, I think earl fights are ghoul ? also want to compare Overeaters Def bonus vs Each of the Mob specific ones.
