I would be more apt to fully invest in a pistol build if they moved the pistol perks to Perception, I hate having to lose 9 points out of agility to full max the damage potential, especially losing out on dodgy, adrenaline, action girl, and others.

Tbh I made a pistol build and sacrificed some agl perks to boost my pistol and it’s 100% worth it, look at the video, he has a lot of and kills hecka fast, use some luck perks to help ap and doge

Agreed. Yes pistol skills are more agility based but MAN pistol builds would be more doable because of that

This is my go to weapon. I got a quad/50cd/+1perception and i absoutely love it. I also only run 2 guerilla/expert/master because the difference between 2 and 3 is only 4 damage and i rather have 3 dodgy instead

The thing i still hate about criticals, the spacebar. Yes you can hold it down during vats, but it makes it so less usable. You randomly jump, you need to press it again if you drop out, but doubt they will ever change that mechanics.

Good observation. I don't use crits at all because I can't replace space with a better key. So Bethstupid.

If it helps, i rebound my jump key to "C", since you cannot rebind the crit key. So i just jump with C, and spacebar only is for crits.. no more random jumping. Alternatively, you can open a keyboard software and switch C and Spacebar. For when youre playing fo76, just remember to switch it back when youre done or tabbed out.

Lol meanwhile me playing in a controller being able to use all applicable attacks not spreading my hand out like a spider trying to avoid water just to heal lol, so easy when you can just jump with triangle, press L1 all at the same time, then absolutely rip something ahead off, it’s something else, not to many games I would say feel perfect on controller, but that’s fallout too me, especially since turning for controller is just that perfect speed everything comes together.

Awesome info. I like how you explained the way you modded the weapon to reduce AP cost and improve VATS efficiency. And wow! I never imagined the 10 mm pistol was that good! I probably haven't used it since level 20 or so, haha.

The pipe pistol is also worth trying out. It does a little less damage, but close enough to be the same. I got a quad 10mm on all my characters, mostly one-star, and it just works. Also great for those do x criticals or cripple achivements we get daily.

I agree! Pipes are highly over looked as just early game. I have an auto pipe build and he does very well. Yes a few extra shots but does very well and lots of fun!

Crusader is a daily ops plan. Can also be found with Minerva once in a while.

I managed to get with the fixer or the handmade (dont remember which one) an AP cost of 3... the legendary effects are mediocre on my gun... but that golden AP cost is wonderful

Yes sir, I have a pistol build just for them. I have an Executioners Vat Crit and a Quad Vat crit which I used primarily.

I enjoyed the 10mm. While AP is a little higher I enjoy Elders Mark because it has the speed of the 10mm. I have a quad, +50% crit, +15 reload Elder Mark and it's great. What they really need to do for pistol is move the perk cards because it hampers your ability to take many of the perks that make the commando or rifleman powerful. Also, I wish they made the Crusader an auto.

Gunslinger and guerrilla already play similar to rifle and commando, they really don’t need to be exact copies.

It was a QE+A 10mm that got me to try out a pistol build years ago and that toon is still going strong today. Love that play style! I can get through two magazines in the quad before running out of vats. So sweet.

Love the build, though I think some events you're always in [ DANGER ] so your sneak becomes worthless. Unless my covert stealth isn't doing it's thing. I've been in events where not even Escape Artist and full sneak on top of covert scout armor prevents me from staying silent. SBQ adds tend to beeline to me and not the army of loud power armor guys running around.

can't manage to get all buffs but 10mm has amazing feeling. the only pistol is close for me in the satisfaction class is black powder pistol... big kaboom is cool

10mm pistol and alien blaster are best for crit builds. i have one of each and got the legendaries to make every other shot a critical. TIP. If you have AP struggles then take the cola nut perk and drink nuka colas. A full hydration bar and cola effect will regenerate your AP in no time.

a friend of mine uses pistols and has all the perks maxed with a few extras like bloody mess n such but it takes him several shots (nearly a whole mag) to kill a mob that takes me around 2 seconds with a heavy weapon. i even upgraded it as much as possible for damage and vats but i always end up killing most if not all mobs we come across when playing.

Thanks a lot for the build Wiggle. My question is, how do you manage the stealth part? You don't have sneak perk and you're obviously not wearing stealth suit. Is that a covert operative armor set under your apparel?

Great video! Dumb question, how are you seeing the actual stats for the mods?? I heard your comment about being able to view them and I see them at the bottom. My game just shows the Blue & Red Up/Down Arrows. Is this a setting in the menus some where to display the actual stat numbers? I need to adjust this on my game, the arrows are horrible.

Nope. You can just pick guerilla perks and switch them in.

Tried to recreate those special stats in the punch card machine and they add up to quite a bit higher than 49 points, must have a few legendary perks

Yes. Character has 15 extra points from legendary perks. You can still get most of the way there with the standard amount of perks though.

The faster reload on Gunther's Big Iron is nice but I'm not a fan of the Two Shot effect since it hurts accuracy. I like the Western Revolver for that class of weapon.

I got lucky with a quad and 50% crit damage with the tweaked automatic- it just shreds but wish it had the less action point cost cause for some reason 9 AP is still a lot even with a blooded and ultra light armour

It cost 9 if you're using the perforating mag. I use piercing for 20% Armor pen ans the vats cost is 6. If you go quick mag, the ap cost is 4

Pistol damage needs to be linked from perception instead of Agility. Great build you have but it would be far better if they made that simple change and more people in my opinion would entertain it.

Quad 50crit 15crit 10 mm shreds. I have quad explosive 15crit and it's better than what most people think ,just use it as low health build and it isn't much behind commando.

It's a very cool weapon, but it is a sidearm, so it's not going to pack a huge punch like a handmade or a heavy weapon unfortunately. The Crusader pistol is great fun as an endgame version of the 10mm pistol. I am a big fan of the 10mm pistol. 😀

It loses a bit of effectiveness outside of stealth. Crits still do good work but missing out on sneak attack damage is noticeable.
