Fallout 76 | WHICH IS THE BEST ARMOR & POWER ARMOR?! (WASTELANDERS DLC)

Hey what’s up guys, in today’s video I wanted to update my “what's the best power armor” video as well as my “what's the best armor” video by adding in the stats of the new armors that came with Fallout 76's Wastelanders. That being the Secret Service Armor and the T-65 Power Armor.
Disclaimer: I do not own the sets shown in the background of this video. The models are players I came across on PC who already owned complete sets, I simply asked if they could stand still for me as I got some shots for my video.
It’s unfortunate that there are already exploits allowing people to skip the grind on PC but no worries, I’m still very far from owning any of the sets like most of you are because I’m not afraid of a good grind, but they did help get this video out sooner to you all, so with that being said let’s get into it.

Nothing carries over from the PTS so the only advantage they would have is knowing what to do before hand. That's not really much of an advantage.

I am a power armor build but I can easily do without if I wanted but rads would always mess up my balance of health and rads since i am bloodied, but seeing the decent rad resistance that problem will be solved and I won’t be so squishy without power armor

Bro, it's all about opinions. However, the diminishing returns on the t-65 will make the DR on the t-65 unnoticeable. If you want something sexy, then sure get the t-65. Strangler power armour is the only power armour in the game with a unique effect, this counters the cons of the nerf imo. Especially if you're a bloodied heavy power user like me, extra dps from the acid is great.

Chr1551 the minimum amount of damage you can take from an attack is either 1 or 0.5 just like the minimum rad damage is 0.5 which is why stranglers rad resistance doesn’t matter at all Actually T60 up damage resistance doesn’t matter at all

Since I am a stealth build, I tend to run the Stealth suit. But I will likely run for the Secret service armor set. my x01 and Ultracite armor are decent enough to sustain me when i actually use power armor. And using power armor is more just for dealing with the ScoarchedBeast Queen

I'm a bit sadden by the state X-01 is at in Fallout lore. Not only is it not even the creation of the enclave now post-war, but it is far from being the most powerful. I hope than in future fallout games we see a move away from adding new power armours that are pre-war and making new postwar power armour, kinda like the t65, or making specialise power armours like the excavator set.

The lore excuse Bethesda uses when downplaying the X01's strength is by saying that this is simply a prototype and not the more refined version the enclave uses in previous fallout games. It's a little flimsy but it serves its purposes. Also the X01 shown in fallout 4 is what showed the it being a prewar creation but never completed. The enclave still has the X02 or the Advanced Power Armor MKII and hellfire variant

X-01 was never Enclave to begin with. Advanced Power Armor is different and is based on pre-war schematics and the X-01 prototype. But yea I agree with you.

Strangler power armour is still the best imo. The unique effect makes is worth it, even nerfed. The only unique power armour to have an effect period (legitimately). The T-65 extra DR wont be noticeable due to diminishing returns. It just looks nice. Edit: I'm a heavy power user

@@JerseysGhost Fair enough, I see your point. The bulky T-65 is great. It's like a walking tank, this I can appreciate. However, my main is a bloodied heavy power user with emergency protocols, lifegiver and adrenal reaction. I'm tanky even at low health and never die, even in excavator. Like I mentioned, extra DR from the t-65 will be unnoticeable from my perspective. From my perspective. I avoided the raid like the plague before wastelanders, this is because I'm a solo player. So I never manage to get the Strangler armour back then I understand that Strangler got nerfed. I've see the patch notes and videos pre wastelands and after. Yeah, it's night and day but I don't think it's useless. Until another power armour with an effect comes out, I still think it's a contender. Just my opinion.

I don't like how it messed up the balance. There was pro and cons to most of the armors. Now these new sets blow everything out of the water. Great work as always, but it makes me said that X01, a post war armor, is now way inferior to the SS pre war set.

quick tip for t65 mods. if you have the free states jet pack option you dont need to get the jet pack mod from the gold vendor. you can just use that instead!

Was on the fence about getting secret service armor but this video just sold me on it. It sure beats randomly rolling a random piece of armor from the purveyor. You will know that you will always be basically rolling a heavy armor. That just leaves the rolls up to chance. Are you able to turn in excess pieces to the purveyor that you don't want?

The Secret service armor! But I'm not even in the end game part yet, I'm only level 50 and I haven't gotten to far yet. Any tips on best way to get Chinese stealth armor? Should I stealth it in the deep or go all in guns a blazing? I've got some okay weapons, but I don't like wasting ammo. I know I would get good loot but...I don't know, plus inoculating the raiders TAKES SO LONG! I am like in the last part where I get the last holo tape (I think) Do I fix that one too? The AI Program was so hard to repair, because it was just loads of back and forth. Hope this is worth it, I have a fixer so I can make a proper stealth build when I get Chinese Stealth Armor though, so that's good. Any tips though? Should I continue grinding Glassed Cavern, I died a grand total of like 4 times, with a Gatling plasma.... I should probably get better weapons first. So I'm open for any tips on weapons, last question for anyone looking, where can I get a shish kabob or whatever, I haven't discovered the abandoned bog town (or have i? Don't remember) But I heard there were some there.

Is that armor better than 3star base game armor as the perks make a lot of difference. If you carnt get any of the new stuff with stars. Making me think all the new stuff may be useless. Could be wrong just my thinking
