The "Next-Gen" update that did'nt even include anything current-gen. Only thing it did was break the mods that makes the game playable, Only reason Fallout is relevant as a game in 2024 is the nexus-modders and Wabbajack.

@@DJYunkHank check the patch notes. they didn't change anything on PC except add ultrawide support. It was completely unnecessary to update. Almost feels like they did this just to brick mods in hopes that players will switch to 76 where there's microtransactions out the wazooooo.

@@AnarkiFTW fallout 76's micro transactions aren't a problem 🤣🤣not in your face like other games. Don't know what you where expecting from the update ,it's not like they where gonna fundamentally change the visuals. All they did for console was let the current gen consoles have 60fps... Something pc already had.

the only reason fallout has its longevity is because of the modding community. They've been making this mod for years so 6 months is still blindsiding. Also the update is bad and most people have rolled back their version of fallout 4. This is a bad take

While i despise this update, the Modders should’ve known Bethesda planned on doing something after or before the release of the TV show. To me, the developers of the mod feel like they’re above Bethesda. Like “How dare you release an update for your own game?” Type of thing. Also, personal opinion, i would probably not play Fallout London. I don’t like London as a setting for Fallout.

i am sorry but they cant claim they were blind sighted. they announced this at the end of 2021 beginning of 2022. so they were notified there long in advance. besides that, bethesda doesnt owe them communication either in the end. bethesda is the ones for making games, not mods. whatever the outside world does with mods is not up to bethesda.

I mean they announced the update quite a while ago, the modders should've been paying attention. Not a Bethesda Stan but also not a fan of ignorance. Hope they calm down and release their passion project

I don't have any sympathy for the Fallout London guys this time. They knew this update was coming for over half a year, they are simply using this to drive more hype. The truth is, this was a blessing for them. Remember folks, no matter what 'side' of an issue you're on, always remember both sides are leveraging the BS to suit their own agenda.

I get the mod devs gripe but I don't likeit at all . Bethesda is a huge company and they can release and announce whatever they want when they want. This makes the FO London devs look entitled. Bethesda announced the next gen update a year ago. They didn't give an exact date but we all knew the tv show was coming out and I figured that's when the update would most likely release. The London devs had to have some common sense and see what Bethesda was planning. They didn't see the obvious writing on the wall. But saying you were blindsided is just weird imo. I know I'm not alone in thinking that update was coming with the release of the show?

Even so, you have no right using Bethesda's game to make your own, and then complain that a patched created delays. Further more, fallout makes no sense anywhere outside of the USA. No one asked for it and we are still waiting for fallout 4 to be finished.

So what, the update breaks their entire game? If their entire game breaks because of one tiny update to the engine then the game was not ready for release. Mod or retail game.. gamers expect stability from a gaming world. Personally i believe this will only push back the mod with a few days maybe weeks. If they are smart, they accept the bullshit thats happening right now, push back the launch untill your product is completely finished and stable. As long as they release it before the final season of fallout series they will be fine and aboard the hype train.

the update stops the script extender working, pretty huge deal has broken about 50% of all mods, mods have literally kept this game alive.

Quite frankly, there is a downgrader released by the modding community (as usual per every bethesda update ever) and it allows you to go back to the version that would have let everyone play Fallout London. There is literally no reason to not release it, as it would work just as intended. The only difference is there is one new step in the installation progress: Downgrade your game. Wow so hard so much difficult me cant do it empossibel. Except it isn't and if they want to use some BS excuse such as not wanting people have to simply downgrade and be mad about it, push back the mod to "fix" which isn't even necessary to actually play the game then really the fault is on them not bethesda.
