Damn, this is probably the best ending; all things considered. An NCR victory with nearly every other faction positively joining forces. Ideally, this chapter of the Brotherhood would become members of the NCR, teaching them about advanced technologies and cementing the NCR as a future society.

The Brotherhood and the NCR were Allies before they went to war over disagreement on how they will handle hellios! In fact it's because of their war that the Legion was able to go up against a weakened ncr! So yeah I do buy that with a more progressive leader like mcnamara the brotherhood would realise who the true enemy is and officially declare a truce with the ncr. The brotherhood is as good as the man leading them and I am glad I supported mcnamara! I wouldn't go that far in thinking that the Brotherhood became members of the Ncr, but as the ending indicates they act as an elite security force to the mojave at the behest of the ncr and I am OK with that!

I dunno if you actually watched the ending, but joining the NCR ends pretty terribly for most of the side factions. The Khans get forcibly moved to a “reservation.” If you do the NCR ending, the Enclave gets arrested for their past war crimes and Arcade is detained indefinitely as a war criminal. And depending on how you did the Brotherhood quest, they either become hostile to the NCR again, or the NCR just straight up takes their stuff and forces them to disband.

@@MegaNightmare4 I think you majorly misrepresented the numerous endings. The player can influence a lot of events & their following consequences. In an NCR + All Allies victory, the player could have convinced the Khan tribe to flee up into the Northwest when the battle begins. Arcade has multiple endings, one where he returns to NCR territory and becomes a family doctor. The BoS-NCR alliance could become permanent and Brotherhood Paladins begin protecting the I-15 trade route. The player can influence positive endings, not just negative ones.

Unironically I love how NV treated the remnants, they were humbled by the fall of the Oil-Rig and Navarro and actually started seeing the wastelanders they were born into hating as actual people. I like their dialogue in this video. It might just be generic npc dialogue, but I really get the feeling that its old and wise soldiers on their last major battle. "Lets get going. We have a battle to win." After years of running, It must feel good to be on the winning side. "You better get moving, kid. There's bad guys to kill." After years of being fugitives, It must feel good to be a part of the "good" guys. "Keep your head down, could be snipers around." This one is especially my favorite. After years of seeing his fellow members killed, an old enclave remanent watches out for you. Warning you of snipers in the area. This game really is something special.

I do like the concept of the NCR having three of their previous enemies joining their side against a foreign threat that challenges them all. Khans, Brotherhood, and Enclave all siding with a force that has either forced them to near extinction or to become lesser players in the wasteland for the simple goal of challenging a threat from the East. A Great Final Battle to determine the future of them all sort of concept.

Lol Legion had to fight soldiers with military uniforms and weapons, people in power armor with energy weapons, raiders who literally were initiated by taking a beating, people with even more powerful power armor and energy weapons, people with literal working planes bomb the hell out of them, and the followers of the apocalypse giving medical aid to all the soldiers. All legion has is incredibly trained soldiers that can’t make up for football gear being used as armor, using machetes and spears with one occasionally having a repeater.

A concept from the Hoi4 Old World Blues mod I really love is the Lost Hills and the Shi joining the battle if the Mojave is overrun by the Legion. Forbidden enclave tech, airships, vertibirds, and Chinese jet fighters all joining NCR in a desperate attempt to stop a common threat against California.

My best guess is that the Legion was just using technology ban as an excuse to explain why recruits get no guns, while in reality Ceasar wanted to use the industry of New Vegas to make a bunch of guns.

Within a months time, you see the scared soldiers you fought against grow wearier, stronger, more plentiful, you start to see your own brothers die more, even when you were promoted and given a submachine gun you could do little to the improved force of your enemies At the time of the battle, you are preparing to storm the NCR frontline, when a giant behemoth floats above you, dropping bombs decimating your commanding officer, and multiple men Then came the men in power armor, they moved faster than the NCR power armors, looked different too, they scatter your forces with strange efficiency never imaginable Then you see HIM, with a red beret, duster with the old world American star on it, fancy looking rifle, and bloodshot eyes, he downs 12 bottles of sunset sparsarilla, a hit of jet, buff out, slasher, a beer, whiskey and wine, 3 steaks, a gourmet dinner, healing poctule, 7 different types of mushrooms, laxatives, he skims through 8 different magazines, a spoonful of napalm, a partridge in a pear tree, and substances you didn’t even know existed, all within 3 seconds He locks eyes with your entire squad, and in superhuman speed, blows each one of their brains out, even though the bullet landed in their heads half the guys hit were atomized into a pile of gore Wyd in this situation?

Only bad things about this ending is that Arcade is forced to flee to the East for fear of being captured and that the Great Khans are given the Native American treatment by being relocated to a reservation. If you tell Arcade to stay with the Followers and convince the Khans to go form an empire in Wyoming (as well as establish an alliance with the Kings), it's pretty much the best New Vegas ending you can get, making the region flourish with trade and mutually beneficial agreements for all factions, not just the NCR.

Eventually a bullet finds a weak point, causes stress on a joint that makes moving impossible. Just like taking out a Tank is easiest via a Mobility kill by hitting the treads, the Joints and Powerpack of a Power Armor suit will eventually degrade. Also even with how large power armor is, Small Arms fire front Rifles and especially machine guns would still be felt and have a chance of penatrating, especially in joint areas or thinner armor areas. Like say the Visors over the eyes.

I only ever finished this game twice, I can never get that feeling back bringing all of these people to the Dam to fight against the Legion. It feels a little janky nowadays but it's still one of the best endings for any game, at least for me. Here is to hoping I get to see a remake or maybe a different story in the Mojave.

The Followers don't dislike the NCR so much as distrust them. They view them as far better than the Legion but fear their expansionism and militarism will either cause them to repeat the mistakes of the old United States they act as the spiritual successors of, or will become as brutal as the worst of the Legion.

@@bobafett9348Well can't you just do it with no allies and still win? Also it still makes sense. The brotherhood only joins a truce with McNamara. The more aggressive elder doesn't agree to a truce. The more passive elder agrees because he sees that the brotherhood won't come out on top either way. The legion will lead constant attacks against them and it will be difficult to scavenge. The NCR has the power to defeat them and since the NCR know where they are. It would only be a matter of time before the NCR goes after them. Since they are in only one bunker they won't have the opportunity to survive another attack. The enclave remnants haven't been a part of the Enclave for decades. Most of them don't have that much against the NCR. Though I agree the Khans don't really make sense. Sure you become the leader or the other second in command becomes the leader that will want to support the NCR. But the Khans are still bitter over Bitter Springs. So I doubt many of the soldiers will want to help. Maybe only the few select soldiers that didn't care about the NCR were sent to fight?

But then you see this giant metal bird fly over and rain fire and brimstone upon you and your comrades. Biggest morale hit to the Legion and boost for the NCR

I wish the allies would help more. The bos and great khans literally send 2 guys each who only help in one area. Arcade gannon just stays in the visitors center. When the enclave arrive, henry and krugah just stand around. It makes the whole gathering allies stage of the game seem to have a very weak payoff. The only factions which seem to contribute fairly for what they can do are the boomers and the followers.

This was so epic to me when I got to this part as a kid. The courier is def gonna be one of those mythical figures people are gonna tell stories about for decades till it fades into legend. Being able to unite all these ideologically opposed factions together against a common enemy. However, I think they are more loyal to the courier than anybody else. Their just tryna help out their dear friend :D . Its a shame so few games are like this anymore. This was a real passion/love project looking at its development and its crazy how little time they had for it. All that cut content; I can only imagine how much better this game could have been cause its already such a one of a kind amazing game. This was one of the first computer games I played and it really spoiled things for me lol cause ever since then I haven't found a single game like it since. It makes a lot of sense people still talk about it to this day. So many choices u can make and immersive. Everytime I watch videos about it; I learn something new; its just crammed full of little details really loved the factions and world. An actual role playing game. A lot of things are just not made with this level of passion anymore well they still are but their very hard to find. Maybe indie games or mods possibly .
