the fun part about the ranger sequoia is that it's based on the real life zeliska .600 nitro express, the biggest commercial handgun (even if a really high tier boutique one) avaible at the time when new vegas was made... but the devs had to scale it down from .600 nitro express because they tought "people will think this thing is just a joke" if they had added that thing in it's real dimensions and caliber.

If I remember correctly the Lucky is actually based of one of the rangers who killed Bonnie and Clyde's personal colt action, where the original ranger named it Ol' Lucky- Great reference considering you find it close to the Vicky and Vance casino

I'll always love That Gun. It carries me through pretty much the first half of the game. By the time I find something better, I'm usually switching over to plasma weapons or the LAER.

12:00 while scopes on 'normal' revolvers aren't exactly a super common thing, being able to put one on the .4 is almost certainly a reference to lord humongous from mad max 2, as a massive, scoped .44 was his weapon of choice. Though the scope you attatch isn't the same type that he uses, which feels like amissed opportunity, really.

A bit of an aside since they weren't included but I quite like the plasma defender. Never was much into design of the plasma guns on 3 and NV (with an exception to the q-35 where this actually fits), and the plasma defender has a design a lot more akin to 1 and 2's plasma pistol which always looked pretty neat to me. Though I do think that 4 and 76 did a great job at taking the post-3 plasma and ESPECIALLY laser pistol (or plasma/laser guns) and polishing it to a T. That and the whole concept of them being this super versatile gadget feels very fitting with the series.

If memory serves the base pistol for the Bladerunner gun was an old Charter Arms Bulldog rather than a Smith and Wesson. And I can agree That Gun deserves to be so low on the list. As much as I loved the .223 Pistol in Fallout 1 and 2 it's implementation in New Vegas was weak. Most notably the poor sights and it's weight as well.
