Also, there is a 16 year old prostitute, in full "work uniform" standing right there for everyone to see. Jill is 16. It's not like it's actually been 2 or more years since she lost her means of providing for herself. You could play Part 3 just a few in game weeks after you kill... whoever it was keeping her from NOT being a prostitute. I already forgot. I personally think this mod is *worse* than the Frontier. 1st, of course, the minor being a prostitute. And no attempts to try to make her 18. Straight up, she is 16. But also, where you could just ignore the NCR Exiles and do a load of other cool sh*t in Portland, this mod only has one storyline. The storyline that tries to make you feel super guilty for stuff you shouldn't feel guilty for. You could feel sympathy for people who got hurt because of what happened as a consequence of your actions. But these are consequences you had no way of knowing would happen. You, as the player, stopped active threats to peace and the lives of the innocent. You CAN'T make me feel guilty for doing that!

Instead of constantly shaming the player for shit that was completely and utterly outside of their control and knowledge (and frankly is just one long string of ass-pulls), they instead take the charismatic route of trying to appeal to the player's sense of freedom, stroking your ego about your ability to make choices because you have the strength to do so and that you're above good and evil. A villain who recognizes your strength is far more interesting than one who hypocritically moralizes at you.

Actually I recently was contacted to revoice Marko for a mod that restored some of the cut content, but most of it is very close to what I remember. I find it honestly hilarious that Someguy tried to be poignant and somehow try to point the karmic mirror on the player he makes us out to be when his own self insert character is an actual monster who likes to massacre villages, rape women, cut out and chop up their babies, cut people's faces off and more. As a bounty hunter we simply kill people until they're dead, most of the people involved in SG's mods are abhorrent sick fucks who make people's deaths as horrible, slow and painful as possible. Whether we should feel bad or not in general, the very people he has pointing fingers at the player are in absolutely no position to do so.

At least in Ulysses's writing, assuming he's not just projecting personal failures onto you (which is my preferred interpretation), has the benefit of being an actual unintended consequence that involved nobody else's request or election. Everyone of the bounties here made choices and knew what they were risking and the results of that risk - their death - on their families and society. Whereas in the Divide you supposedly just brought a package to the area because some symbols matched and you were curious and then left it there, not knowing what you'd started. That'd at least be a character flaw of unpracticed discretion in search for answers, something you do again in the Divide because of the messages and the curiosity of what shit Ulysses is on, meaning you can at least be learning a lesson from Ulysses's mistakes if he's wrong and you didn't do anything. Here its purely the accumulation of free wills resulting in a bad end.

That’s one of the reasons why I hated this mod. If you’re going to give the player a bunch of stupid, contrived guilt shit over a raider power vacuum, make it so that we have the option to remove it. The player is not unaware of these kinds of things, so let us correct them. Throw us at a hundred fiends or something so we can say to the game “yes, we are fully capable of wiping out every last fiend”.

I really wish they do this mod again once the Marko Rewrite mod is completed. Rewrite Marko was an excellent villain. The only thing missing is a new voice actor to accommodate the new lines, which is what the author is actively searching for the time being. Dialogue isn't the only thing being reworked, however. The mod author is also aiming to rework the entire boss fight so he's not that unfair bulletsponge that insta-kills you. They said that they're going to make New Marko use different weapons, since he was written to be a dark reflection of the player of sorts, so he has to fight in a way similar to the player. So yeah, you can tell the writing is so bad that others are working hard to change it.

I just wanna say, yall are amazing, and 8 mean that about as literally as possible, the moment I caught on to the New Vegas Playlist I started bingewatching over a span of a few weeks. Later, having finished that, I made the logical switch to your Fallout, the Frontier Playlist, and watched it all in short order as well. Then, having run out of actual New Vegas to watch, as this was just around a week and a half after you posted Episode 300, I thought back to one time I heard Zach mention in passing 'Valkyria Chronicles', and that was my next binge, before I took a hiatus. And then binged all of Valkyria again because I forgot like half of it. But the big thing isn't that I could get so wrapped up in a series I finish all 40 episodes of the Valkyria Chronicles in 3 days, that's nothing special, trust you me, what is remarkable is that there wasn't one episode where the mod you guys were playing, or one or either of you, or your reaction to the mod, didn't make me laugh*. And on top of that, you are two great and relatable people, from Zach's intense knowledge of firearms (I love guns and frequent Forgotten Weapons as well) and the stories you both share, whether it's the campfire stories or just a passing anectote over one of over 400 of your video's I've watched. You two are literally the best content creator team I have ever seen, and with your combined passion for simply having fun, I don't think that'll change anytime soon. Hang on, what was I meaning to end this with? Hm. I bet it was thank you, for all the entertainment, and hopefully loads more. *I wouldn't feel right saying my mind on this, but Mike, you're less funny without Zach to back you up, to bounce things off of and be bounced off of.

I didn't even finish this mod. I just couldn't. Lord help me, I friggin' tried, but the writing was like amateur hour at the home for the criminally grimdark. Every time I followed Virgil, I ended up shooting him in the face. I know he's essential, which is stupid in and of itself considering that its easily the most defensible and logical choice you could make in NVB3, but I just couldn't help it. His waxing poetic about "rawr the consequences of your actions ain't they terrible" just sounded like something you'd see some pimply teenager write in his darkened bedroom as he listens to Norwegian black metal and comin' off a half-remembered, badly misunderstood playthru of Spec Ops: The Line. I teleported out of that bloody map and felt nothing but relief. If the choice for the author of NVB3 was to either release nothing or the festering pile we got, I'd have honestly preferred to have gotten nothing. And dude whined about people on Nexus not liking the dull, sophomoric, wannabe philosophical writing. Bro, you had a choice. NVB2 was fun. So was its predecessor. It knew when to be funny, if FELT like it belonged in Fallout. NVB3 was just a miserable, boring slog. Apologies for the whinging. Just...sometimes, a mod makes me angry. Enduring even part of NVB3 was one of them times.

You know, after all this time I'm disappointed they never once used Sweet Revenge, the pistol you get in bounties 1, its a nice model that actually unique, its apparently a Remington for the longest time I though it was colt navy that was modified but that just shows how little I know about guns. It also has damage on par with a ranger sequoia despite being a .44.
