Look at the feet of the person in the vault door; they are walking *out* of the vault, not coming in.

That's a good point, It would be a much easier answer to the left-handed pip boy question! lol I zoomed in and enhanced as much as possible and really still couldn't tell for sure. I guessed someone was coming in based on the fact that the ramp was retracted, you couldn't see a vault number and they don't look like they are wearing a vault suit. But you could be right I guess someone could have killed a guard on the way out and they could be retracting the ramp behind them. That would make it all very much like Fallout 3.

I definitely believe it's a dweller leaving the vault, not entering. I couldn't see the feet too clearly but, with the vault door appearing to be an accurate re-creation, I immediately thought it would be incredibly odd for the image to be flipped.

@@happy_fecker Yes leaving does seem to be the logical answer. As Nolan said he played F3 a lot, it does look like has has copied the beginning.

Did you consider the possibility that the figure silhouetted in the vault door was not entering, but _leaving?_

Not at first glance but a few people mentioned in the comments the person is clearly leaving and on a closer look that does fit the situation much better. So I guess I was wrong there. I really didn't think they would do that as it's such a straight-up copy of Fallout 3 and way too obvious. But Nolan did say he's a big Fallout 3 fan, so it could be he's just flat-out copied the Fallout 3 opening story, just with the Fallout 76 vault door set design. I'll be a bit concerned and disappointed if that is the case because I expected a high-quality and totally original story from someone of Nolan's reputation. Not a copy-and-paste rip-off. Still, I may be doing him a disservice, there is the second vault to factor in yet so time will tell.

@@FalloutPBC If this ties in with the trashed vault you are right that it would be a sad rip off of Fallout 3. I can see why you didn't think they would do that considering the almighty Todd said they absolutely defiantly wouldn't be copying any game story lines.

Quite a few people were asking for a playthrough series and I did start working on it. Sadly it's on hold for now. It was a ton of footage to store and manage and I need to get dedicated data storage for the channel organized before it's possible. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it at some point when I have the funds saved for some better equipment.

Im guessing they used vault 33 because theres really no lore behind that vault maybe Jonathan Nolan wants to start off this tv series fresh because if he used a vault that does have lore like vault 76 fans would criticize every little thing that the vault does wrong i think Todd Howard list all the vaults he can use for the tv show and Jon chose 33.

Yeah, I think a few of us talked about this in one of the previous videos. 33 and 32 are free at the moment so a fresh start can be made. I think that is sensible too. As for why 33 was picked? Well, we could speculate just for fun. 33 is a major occult number so maybe it's a Hollywood occult thing? Perhaps he's a big Larry Bird fan? Maybe he's a big Tesla fan and likes universal harmonic resonance theory? Hell, maybe he's a big D&D nut like a lot of Hollywood types these days and just rolled for it... Nice spot with the vault numbers. It's not easy to guess at how the two vaults will feature but none of the dwellers in the foreground look like any of the regular cast members. So I wonder if it's going to be that the show follows a lone wanderer and this is him leaving vault 33 and heading for vault 32.

That would make sense. If it is just one vault dweller in the regular cast I've got this nasty feeling this show is going to copy the Nuka Break format.

@@FoxWolf2020 I don't mind a bit of humour here and there if it's done right but I want to see bleak Sci-Fi storytelling. I want to see the moral ambiguity of "Blind Betrayal"

Definitely has me pumped! They are definitely putting a lot of effort into the details! Only concern is, will this be another “RE raccoon city”? They had great set pieces, but story was just trash ! Need a sneak peek video to get an idea what we are looking at.

I totally agree, so many shows these days look fantastic and then take massive liberties with the lore ( Rings of Power ) or have shockingly bad writing. ( Halo I'm looking at you ) I hope Nolan is the right man for the job but like you say until we get some kind of teaser we wont know what sort of tone they have gone for. Let's hope that comes early in the new year.
