@chadmus8 ай бұрын
@@Arcadiez The producer title is an umbrella term because they usually do or help out in a variety of tasks in different departments (finance, production, design, writing, etc) that are just as essential to the making of the show as director or cinematographer or etc. They literally contribute various significant efforts to "produce" the show. For example Tom Cruise isn't the director of Top Gun or Mission Impossible but as a producer he made those movies what they are and ensures their consistent quality. The reputation of producers doing nothing is the product of a bunch of bad apples that sully the title.

Todd did sign off on ideas and said he told them not to do certain things that may be used in the next Fallout. Probably not daily involvement but he did give input. Glad that they invited Tim Cain the original Fallout creator to the premier, shows respect for the ones who laid the foundation of the Fallout world before Bethesda’s took it to the next chapter.

I respect todd a lot for how he handled and who he hired for this show. Jonathan seems like a mensch, offering interesting insight while passing off questions in reverence of todd. I think theyve set a new standard for game adaptations. I think tlou lost a lot in translation while this just adds to the franchise.

It's like him and Leonard once said you have games that do well and you have games that don't. And no lie it's going to be someone that dislikes everything you do sometimes and then some people will love everything you do sometimes. They never celebrated when someone else's games did bad because I know what it felt like. That's why they would never celebrate the competition or whatever losing fans over a game that didn't do well. Just because most of their games did well they realized that that didn't give them superiority. It's all in how you look at it some games are not as popular as others and they're really good games I don't know what it is about Mr Howard that people don't like maybe there was just too many things that happened that people got on some hatred. But I think that trolls perpetuate that crap. I honestly think it's boredom and reasons to hate on something because their life is shit. Small minds and shity lives make pretty bad trolls that just completely dry people crazy when they're in development or whatever. Who's there to see a video or something about that person's news on their game and I have to watch that stuff hear that crap. It isn't that they even care whether someone in development sees their comments and they're just pissed off about life in general and are taking it out on someone that they know will probably never see their comment. I gave him the respect because he spent years working and making games with other people like them or they didn't He like them it was the love of making the games that he wanted to make and so he did And things are going well and he's going to bring even more people in to watch a show and play his games. Skyrim and we'll get some more content there❤❤❤... Can say what you want elder scrolls is entirely his and bethesda's

Even though the show is obviously linear, I was fully invested into all the characters by the end, especially Lucy, that when she makes certain decisions in the last episode (no spoilers), I felt like I was also making those decisions with her. The whole show was incredibly well done, from the set, prop, and costume design, to the writing, to the directing, and to the acting. Everyone involved should be proud of their work.

"We get to Fallout 4, and we gotta pretend no ones played Fallout" Yes, Todd, we know. It shows. Also explains a lot. That said, as a "NV Fanboy" as some would label me, I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and think a lot of people complaining about lore being broken are not really paying attention to the ambiguity given to most of those controversial events, and are inserting their own interpretations that the show has not denied or confirmed.
@bia311878 ай бұрын
Exactly this. People think they’re going to explain everything in one season when the point of every television show is to create more seasons. Idk why people are trippin about it so bad but they need to calm tf down and realize that this is how television works.
@schribbler15928 ай бұрын
@@bia31187 I also think this first season was a good 'get in the door' for people who never played a Fallout game. The lore is deep, and throwing it all at new people off the bat wouldve been offputting. I expect season 2 will start to dive deeper into explaining things now that people are more familiar with the basic lore.
@bia311878 ай бұрын
@@schribbler1592 I think it was too. You throw too much at new comers to the series and they end up dropping it because it’s so much. My dad watched the first season and he has never heard or known about the games beforehand and he was able to grasp some of the lore without my help so I think they nailed it in that respect. I’m a longtime New Vegas fan girl and I’m excited to see them introduce it next season. I’m interested in seeing its demise and I hope they go back in time to when it was fully operational so us fans can see it on the small screen.
@schribbler15928 ай бұрын
From my view, it doesnt really show a full collapsed NV. The lighting makes it fairly ambiguous. It may have detiororated after the second battle for Hoover Dam (NCR soldiers were great for the economy of the Strip), but it may not be fully destroyed. Either way, I agree. Would love to see some flashbacks to 2281, and 2077. But that's just my rambles on it. I could be entirely wrong. I think they wanted to leave old time fans speculating, while giving new fans an interesting starting point without giving away much of either. Otherwise, long time fans could end up spoiling things for the new ones if they had given away too much. I think they handled this as good as they could have.
@bia311878 ай бұрын
@@schribbler1592 I guess the end credits may allude to a destroyed New Vegas but we won’t know until we get there. Regardless I look forward to an explanation on what’s transpired since 2281. I’m very interested in why they’re taking us there too for the current show plot. I’m just glad it was introduced! I thought for sure they weren’t going to so I’m very happy to see it there. Made me fire up a new game on my PC so it’s succeeding in pulling players back into the world. But every reaction I see has people going into full length essays on the lore for new fans and it’s great to see how passionate people get.

I mean, after Fallout 4 he only directed Starfield. Fallout 76 was made by another division of Bethesda and he didnt direct it. So yes definitely he hasn't reached the hights of earlier games (with Starfield but also i would say also with Fallout 4), but even if never will he and Bethesda literally changed the way open world games are made, made a (very light) RPG that sold 60 million copies in a period of time nobody cared about that genre, took Fallout from the oblivion and made it one of the most famous and iconic IPs in the history of gaming already with Fallout 3. He's one of the most influential people of the history of gaming, even an hater should recognise it. His big problem is that, in the last 10 years, he wasn't only a game director but also become a CEO of a big rich corporation that at the end of the day just want to make money. I hope that now that Bethesda is only a Microsoft subsidiary something will change for the better
