Spoder Men Yes it has a vast lore but the games themselves dont have good stories. The games stories are rather dull while the lore is interesting. I'd rather play a game set between the time of Oblivion and Skyrim than Oblivion. That's why I believe setting/immersion is a stronger point than the story. Why we get sucked into bethesda games arent the stories but the vast maps and highly interactive environments.

fellow fallout 4 anticipator No i kind of agree, although i loved fallout 3, at the end of the day your in a barren, dead, radioactive landscape. Ask yourself how much can Bethesda do with this art style? Whereas when TES VI comes out, itll be in Eleswyer (idk how to spell it) or Black Marsh etc, but just imagine what living beauties they can create in these environments !!! I do think TES VI will be more phenomenal than FO4.

dont get me wrong, art style is very important to a game. i just think that fallout's universe/ art style is just very unique: retro futurism where the american way of life is bieng compromised by the chinese communist invaders , propaganda ect ect. raiders, punk style wasteland armor. atmospheric music and themetune. memorable characters. if the rumors about it bieng set in boston are true. then with the power of next gen we will be able to go inside most buildings and explore a fully blown city. imagine the immersion you could feel knowing that you could get jumped by a group of super mutants or a punk like band of raiders. when FO4 does eventually come out , it will be very awsome.

@@EpicWarrior131 Actually, you are both right and wrong. Yes, I was hopping on the hate train for a little spin, It's really more of a therapeutic break for me. And second of all I was not actually thinking of 76 specifically and more of the "It just works" Skyrim bugs, fallout 3 and 4 bugs. But since you mentioned it. While it's true Fallout 76 did get better, it still had one of the most ridiculous paywalls for quality of life improvements to the game I have ever seen. Not that I've been paying much attention to Bethesda since my comment from, what was it,1 year ago? Huh, felt like longer. I did hear they got purchased by Microsoft, so that's something to look forward to I guess.

That's fine when you've played through the game before. But when you start you don't know what you'll class you'll ultimately play (even if you already intended to play as another), or which abilities will actually benefit you the most. Allowing organic growth fixes that a lot better. Some stuff like smithing and alchemy doesn't work as organically with that system because it kind of forces you into using it artificially just to level it up, but for the most part it is a strong step forward.

***** You're misunderstanding something here, those games being console only has nothing to do with pc. The reason they are console exclusives (either timed or permanent) is money, not because 'consoles are better' or any of that bullshit. You're also mentioning indie games in your argument, same applies here, money. How do you expect an indie dev without the money of a big publisher pushing out a game that is actually pushing the limits of our current technology? they can't is the answer. That the hardware of consoles is very weak compared to what is available in the PC world is a fact. This however doesn't mean that pc exclusives have to be or look better. We are however seeing some interesting pc exclusive projects that seem to push the limits, star citizen being the most prominent one.

I do want a Fallout 4 but after New Vegas, it might not be very good. i was thinking they could make a British Version, so it was set somewhere that isn't America for different weather, creatures, weapons, and quests. If it was set in Britain why could put in real Acid Rain where if you go outside for too long you take damage, or you have to find different ways to places other than going straight towards it.

I agree, though NV had more things like crafting and iron sights it was a whole lot less stable and more crash-prone and the warm orange feel just doesn't mix well with the idea of post-apocalyptic scenario, Fallout 3 feels better in comparison. Though it can still improve, Fallout 4 needs to look at the modding community for inspiration.
