The best interaction I ever had with a sheriff was being pulled over for my headlight out. Fun fact, if you hit a big enough bump my headlight will go out.... if you hit the headlight, it comes back on. So I explained this to the sheriff and he wanted to try and he could not get it to work and looked at me like I was a liar then I asked if he would let me do it and it worked for me 1st time. He laughed so hard and just let me drive away, he was still laughing as I drove away. True story.

That happens mostly with the old sealed beam headlights when they go bad. The filament breaks and sometimes the bulb will continue to work until you hit a bump and it goes out. Other times it won’t come on when you turn the lights on, then you go hit it with your hand and it will come on. I’ve been in the same situation as you and did the same thing. The cop just shook his head and walked away.

Approached the "scene" in a hostile manner, and then starting talking down to the riders in a condescending tone, and even after it was established that there was no weed, proceeded to point out minor sh!t and talk to the riders like they were children. Cop must not have been making his monthly quota or something, cuz that's just ridiculous. Cop sees a group of bikers hanging out...thinks he smells weed. theres no weed, cop doesnt want to admit defeat and starts bitching about license plates but he never saw anyone drive the bikes. claiming to tow the bike because no one says its theirs is fishing for confessions, which is not the way to go about things as far as i'm aware.

You know what? I am a security guard, I come from a uniform family, with my father retiring from pretty high up in the Dutch police. I support the concept of police, and most police officers. But this dude just had it coming rolling in on his high horse (no pun intended) and start stirring the ant nest (Dutch expression, don't shoot me if it doesn't translate well haha) This cop needs to learn how mirroring works. You come in hot and heavy (again, no pun intended) and people will jump into defense mode. People mirror the mood they are presented with. Come in with a "hi guys, what y'all doin'?" and you start off on a friendly note. There's always room to scale up the authority when needed, but it will help you get them to open up. And it will help people respect the police a lot more!

1. The group should have exercised their right to silence more. 2. A court would potentially conclude that the officers were within their rights to stop the group under the suspicion of smelling weed. 3. The officer at that moment was in his rights to begin inspecting the other bikes in the detained group. 4 The cop clearly was holding the group up which is against police conduct, as a police officer can only hold people for as long as it takes to conduct their investigation, not to simply hold a group up out of spite. 5. The officer has no legal authority to search anyones bags unless he or she thinks they are in immediate danger, which would be hard to articulate for this officer. 6. This group needs to follow up with appropriate legal action against the officers conduct, this would potentially be an easy legal win due to misconduct by the officers and their condescending attitude will not contribute to the actions of the officer or this terry stop.

I feel the ppls pain in the last clip had the same thing happen to me we were just chilling at 711 in the car windows down vibin next thing yk 4 cop cars pull up questioning us for no reason my boy had a knife in the back seat (in the case) on the floor and the first cop (who was chill) spotted it and when asked what it was a lady cops first response was is it weed. Keep in mind we are all black except for one of my boys and we all got searched they found nothing else obviously and then we had to go to court for "loitering" even though we had just bought something from the store and were about to leave. But its the fact that we were there for more than 5 mins doing nothing in the car how silly is that
