Incidentally, the "wrong animal" audience sound effect was already a staple of Canadian comedy at the time: the live performances of The Arrogant Worms' "Mounted Animal Nature Trail" invariably devolves into the audience shouting random animal sounds during the silences when the animals are supposed to be dead.
