14:52 I don't know if this was done incorrectly on purpose or not so please disregard my comment if that's the case, but the name on the shirt definitely does not spell out ベト (beto) but rather ビート (biito), which makes a lot more sense.

I’ve heard a fan theory that one of the big inspirations of the game was the 70’s move “The Warriors” which also featured a mysterious DJ and street gangs.

I'm seeing this 2 years late because I'm digging into the individuals behind Jet Set Radio. I'm proud about the bits I've discovered so far, but definitely want to learn more, about their Jet Set Radio work and their other stuff (hence I've recently been focusing on Like a Dragon and their sports management games from around JSR's era. Thanks for the shout out to JSR Archives, I wasn't following and don't think I'd seen them at all! Anyways, I enjoyed the stories put forth.

Nice video! Also, If I remember right, Hideki said something on Twitter saying that Toronto/Tomonori Sawada was the reason why Idol Taxi and Deavid Soul are featured in the game. Something also interesting to note is that in that trailer you played at the end the cops are seen at the downhill part of Shibuya-Cho which isn't present in any other releases. I guess it was a JP only thing.
@FalseProof3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment and new info? Do you have a link to the tweet? The cops on Shibuya Downhill may have also been a beta design, but we’d have to dig deeper to confirm that sort of thing

I’m a jet set radio and future fan I absolutely love this game it will always be my favorite game to play original Xbox
@christmasanchez1.0383 жыл бұрын
When playing Jet Set Radio I all was hear and seen some odd clips while playing the game sometimes when I play the game. The mission Kogane Circus if your in the sewers for too long the music would play the same version of the songs but would switch the songs up to Super Bros., Sweet Soul brothers and then Mischievous Boys, which I thought it was a secret but it was just me waiting there for too long or it might be the Xbox version of the game. Furthernore, there is a clip of your charcter running away from police cars if you go underneath the bridge of Benten-cho I got that clip once and then never got it again, which freak me out because I thought the game was crashing.
@FalseProof2 жыл бұрын
Interesting! Do you remember what the order of the songs were exactly, and what the voice line said in Benten-cho? I',m able to actually extract audio files from the game, so I could look into your comment with more depth if there are voice lines that match your description.
@christmasanchez1.0382 жыл бұрын
Yeah the orginal song it would be: 1. Super Bros. 2. Mischievous boys 3. Sweet Soul brothers The different version: 1. Super Bros 2. Sweet Soul brother 3. Mischievous boys Furthemore, the clip form Benten-cho has no voice line just the character running away from the cops that all I can remember about that clip. Now it can be a different mission that triggers this clip in Benten-cho probably?
