Its so ironic that Hideki Naganuma is mostly known as "The King of Samples", it is true, but he uses it wisely.

Hence... king of samples! Using them wisely is probably the name of the game in terms of becoming 'king'

I'm legit surprised no one has mentioned "The concept of love" from a Black Panther Party speech by Stokely Carmichael. Apparently that sample was also used in an arranged theme on the King of Fighters 95 soundtrack

Samples used creatively like this are so catchy one of the reasons Kanye is so popular is how he used samples in his tracks.

1:53 For this sample in "Rock It On," while this is the original song, I don't think the sample was taken from the song itself. Instead, the vocals sans backing track can be found in an audio CD titled "Best Service - Voice Spectral Vol. 1," which contains a TON of audio samples. Some I recognized from JSR, but it's also the source of the infamous "Fire Temple Chanting" from Ocarina of Time, which has an interesting story behind it. It's likely that Hideki Naganuma had a ton of these CDs, and that's where the samples came from. Of course, it's also possible he just sampled it from the sources, but considering some of JSR's samples are found on just this one CD, I'd wager to guess that other CDs contain more samples used in this game. (I'd also like to point out I typed this before getting to the section on "Grace & Glory," which is one of the other samples I recognized when going through the CD)

Not technically Jet Set Radio, but Escape from California by Deavid Soul, on his album "Sparkling Music" has a sample from Dexter's Lab in the beginning. The "Nooooo!" and subsequent crank turning noise are from a Justice Friends segment titled "Ratman"

Sometimes artists sample songs and it borders the line on plagiarism. WILL.I.AM is a good example as he made a song sampling Around The World by Daft Punk. Can't remember the song name, but it's literally just the Daft Punk song with him trying to rap over it... *Edit kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqTOiYx_bphjZqc

I've been playing the xbox arcade rerelease of Jet Set Radio (which im pretty sure is Dreamcast Jet Grind Radio) and there's a sample that I keep hearing that I'm dang near certain is either Nate Dogg, Warren G, or Snoop Dogg. And its driving me out of my mind. So I figured I'd post here in case anybody has an answer.
