A lot of Hermits have actually had issues with their discovered eggs phasing through the blocks. Usually when its attached to the roof.

the hermits should do something similar to this whenever the season ends and they're passing the world on to the viewers. hide all 18 of their own eggs across all their own builds. it would just be a cool little fun thing for the viewers to do whenever they're exploring their favorite hermits' bases.

If you wanna keep the water from freezing around your base you could make it a hot spring using magma blocks for bubbles campfires for steam and if you put a block of water on the bubble column one higher then the regular water level it'll flow like a hot water geyser similar to Yellowstone national park in the US if you need a reference image. Could be pretty cool looking and you can add color to it if you want.

She could fill it with water plants like sea grass or since it isnt deep, light it up with pickles.

The organic builders definitely have a disadvantage in the egg hunts their bases have so many more hidey-holes.

the points aren’t;t distributed by how many eggs you find, but how many eggs you have hidden aren’t found, so actually the organic builders have a *minute* advantage.

@@charliethunkman no, you said it yourself, since orgamic builds are more complicated the other Hermits have good spots to hide them. Hermits with simpler/straightforward bases can find more eggs in their base

@@bambuu_ yeah, but as its not about how many you find but rather how many of your own get found, the organic builders only have a slight disadvantage (only one point), and only against "non-organic" bases. Because if a base is so simple/small that every egg gets found, its technically that hermit that gets a one-point advantage against all the other hermits, and not the other way around. So being the only one not found in one of these "simpler" bases offsets not finding ANY of the eggs in your own. Now the question is which one is more unlikely :P

@@MrMohl1 but.. exactly? let's say you are Pearl, the others have a high chance of not being found because they have your organic base as one of the places where they have to hide. Imagine for a second what would happen if all bases are simple and Pearl was the only organic/detailed one. her eggs would always be easy to find in the simple bases, whereas the other hermits would have at least one chance to hide an egg in a better spot (because they can hide in her base). hope that makes sense :D

Those suspenders Beef is wearing this season definitely does seem like something XB would wear. I wonder how well his apron would have translated in egg form. The blood splatters would've probably looked like flowers or something. Speaking of which, I really need to catch up on Jevin's videos this season.

If you want to keep the snow while still spawnproofing, it's work but you can double layer every block with snow. You can gather it with silk touch from a snow golem quickly and for free, and the finished effect looks great

Tip: Maybe you could place a torched glass platform at Y319 (build height) that will still let light through, but should prevent snow landing on your build and surrounding area. Its so high up it’ll be out of render distance.

if you want your ice to remain water, you can put waterlogged slabs on the edge of the water, cause water can freeze only if a block is to the side

Hey false, I'm 8 minutes in and I wanted to jot this down before i forgot. A suggestion to help with the snow, maybe built in lower half slabs for pathways, and add foliage on other parts like flowers, carpets.. get creative with non full blocks, could be a cool challenge preventing lag due to maybe putting string on everything.... alright back to the awesome video

a very time consuming way to deal with snow and ice forming is to make clouds from glass high above so there is no sky access. but I guess string, carpets and light sources would be a lot easier. 😀

i feel like ur megabase wud be similar to large structures in Skyrim, like the College of Winterhold or maybe the whole Windhelm(including Ulfric's Palace). So after the big structure is done/almost done. Maybe it wud be nice/fitting to have an organic Frost Dragon build(perched or flying while breathing frost) somewhere in the surrounding ice mountains or on the main structure.

Another trick for keeping the water from freezing is to use waterlogged bottom half slabs in the shallow areas. You would see what looks like regular water but it won't freeze.

Pearl carries random stuff on her a lot. Check inside the eagle. Did you know that the ender pearl glitch also world with trapdoors?

You could just bonemeal the riverbed. It'll stop the ice from freezing. Unless the changed that

Ice can only form next to other blocks. So ice-proofing the edge of the river should be enough. Ice can also not replace blocks other than water. So seagrass, kelp, pickles, corals, candles and so on would help

I dont know if u want ideas, but here is a suggestion based on what u wanted (a circle of water) what if you take advantage of the fact there is actually a hole under the grass, behind ur tower from the starting perspective, to actually make water cascading to a hot spring (solving the frozing problem at this particular point :D) with lushy thing, and the 2 balconades on the sides. A little bubble of confort, in this harsh environnement, thus explaining why people set up there in rp terms. Just a thought. Cya ;)
