Well, i'm interested to see how this will play out in the future projects. My only concern or curiosity is the name "Verum Rex" itself. When you translate the names from latin "Verum" means Truth and "Rex" means a King, Ruler. So i guess it would be a True King or True Ruler if that is what Nomura was going for. Because if so, i'm curious what Yozora would be considered as a king of what, Fiction, Reality, or a Ruler of Dimensions. And i added dimensions because what if it's not just a world of fiction or reality that he can exist in. But exist in a multi-verse dinension where he can transend his body or mind and be at multiple places at once.

So if Sora is supposed to be the King of Fiction, and MOM came to Quadratum way back from the time of fairytales, and furthermore has the gazing eye which let him see the future, is it possible that MOM is setting up Sora to become the King of Fiction, having seen Sora and his strong heart and connections through the gazing eye wanting to set him up as one of his seven crowns. Perhaps MOM has become some sort of prophet in that world and has conveyed a prophecy that one day the King would show up, that being Sora, hence why Yozora knows of Sora and has an image of him as a skull on his jacket. Furthermore, perhaps either directly, or indirectly, it was MOM who sent Yozora to 'save Sora', perhaps as a trial to see if he is worthy to become one of the seven crowns, or maybe it is something that will definitely come to pass as Yozora said when he loses "I guess that my power aren't needed yet". Keyword being "YET" as in it will happen eventually as MOM has seen it happening with his gazing eye and relayed that information.

Well Nomura did say Verum Rex isn't connected to VersusXIII so making Yozora a commander instead of a prince is probably to differentiate him from Noctis as much as possible or it could be a red hairing because royalty can lead an army or be in the army so maybe Yozora is both royalty and a commandar

WHAT IF Sora’s price for using the power of waking was to actually lose his crown I.e. his placement to be 1 of the 7 crowns…..CAUSE Yozora did say that he went through some trials…..one would only go through trials to either receive or earn a greater power or position or to even prove something….. in this case that he was the better suit for Sora’s crown n Yozora was probably presented that opportunity to take Sora’s place within the 7 crowns…..THAT COULD EVEN SHOW Y THERE IS A WIN EPISODE N A LOSING EPISODE IN THE FINAL BOSS OF ReMind.

I hear you! Ive actually thought this before, this is another spit ball but if this girl has red hair, kairi and the red haired girl from Shibuya of TWEWY (shiki? I forgot), but she takes on the form of someone else, as entrance fee to play 'the reapers games' so very similarly to Yozora, takes another form to 'play'. Just so hard to figure out how this proceeds the story in general.

There is a theory floating around that's what is fiction and reality is subjective. Maybe the realm of Kingdom Hearts is seen as fictional to the inhabitants of Quadratum the same way Quadratum is seen as fictional in Kingdom Hearts.

Because those realms, (dreams, data etc.) Are all still "real" dye to existing in reality and with light and darkness be able to exist, Unreality is beyond those norms, no light or darkness, being a concept that beyond their understanding

Yet this world and the beings that populate it that don’t have light or darkness aren’t classified as fictional constructs. At that point you’re just going down different layers of what constitutes as ‘fiction’ when TWTNW is already place that fits the very description of Verum Rex but that terminology was never used to describe it

Something’s off to me now about the world of fiction. Like to me, it doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore. Like it’s just the next obstacle in this grand story, just something new to fill the void of the last phase. The initial hype was amazing but now thinking about it through the lens of storytelling, I don’t know. It just doesn’t excite me anymore, I suppose. Or I can’t think of how long they could drag Quadratum out for.

Kh4 I reckon will be sooner still be like 5/6 years I reckon but it’ll be much easier than 3’s development because all it will be is an upgrade of the engine, they’ve already dabbled with Unreal Engine 5 already in other games/trailers

basically, in comparision to the multiverse theory, the kh timeline is seperate from the disney timeline, which explains why everything is different to disney, because if sora hadn't intervened, you'd get the disneyverse, but if sora escaped the island, you'd get the kingdom hearts universe, in which sora's grand adventure occurs, which includes the entire yozora thing that's listed in the theory, because yozora is from an alternate reality/universe, where nomura got to tell his story. Also, yozora was meant to be a king in a different universe, also sora is the fiction king in this universe, even though yozora was looking to become that.

Grimdark means a story where nothing good happens. Grimdark never has a good ending or happy moments, it's more accurate to call KH a tragedy story. No game has had a none tragic ending even kh 2 ended with roxas and namine without a body or will and all nobodies died, only Sora, riku and kairi had a happy ending.

Since Phase 1 focused on closing Xehanort's story, I wouldn't be surprised if Phase 2 was meant to close Sora's and then we continued as Yozora. Though whether they'd still call it Kingdom Hearts or something else I couldn't say.

Why is the symbol of Sora on Yozora's jacket like a pirate skull symbol? ☠ Does this have any particular significance? It's like a pirate wearing a crown... (Sora the pirate king? 🙈) Is it a pirate's symbol to refer to Sora being from an island & related to the sea? Is he represented as a pirate because his crown is supposed to be someone else's & he stole it from them? Or is the crown a treasure he earned? I don't know if anything is intentional but I find the design of this logo quite interesting!
