I think I get why Yozora fights Sora when he says he's trying to save him. He's saving Sora from the KARMA he gained by abusing the Power of Waking. By defeating Sora and crystalizing him he can "save" Sora from whatever his KARMA is gonna do. Also: All of Luxord's abilities work through his cards. All of the other org members can use abilities that aren't tied to their weapons. I suspect that this is because Luxord isn't using magic, but weapons.

Perhaps X-Blade is a byproduct of that result and it just might regulate and control the flow of Karma naturally, or it's either the catalyst or manifestation. Unchecked or bloated desires whether good or evil get dispersed to prevent overload to the point of critical mass.

@@SarahYTC I had also thought about that to. Perhaps Kingdom Hearts could be a pocket Universe created by the original inhabitants of Quadratum after a mass exodus. The current people within Kingdom Hearts are descendants of them. I also really like your idea of magitech technology using Karma as a fuel source. It's totally out there but that's what makes this series so exciting and interesting.

VTNVIVI talked about this in his MoM review but I think Quadratum represents the mind (in contrast to the universe of Kingdom Hearts which is the heart). So if KARMA derives from the advances in weaponery, wouldn't it be sth like pride etc. making the people crave for more power? And when people desire sth really badly they become blinded of sorts, forgetting about their selves, their souls. The KARMA stacking up would then be what defines humans. So if they lose it, the lose their mind, literally. They keep fighting for more and more until they all flippin die

I couldn't help but think about SMT: Digital Devil Saga. Which talks about Karma where after a certain amount of Karma is built up it awakens your Atma, true self, and it causes that human being to undergo a demonic transformation. Also in another SMT game Karma was the name of a race of demons that represented the 7 deadly sins.

Darkness is necessary for the world, but if it gets out of hand with the person who misuses it and tries to quote and quote "change it" that's when you know that darkness is a foe. The best way to handle darkness when that happens is to quell it and calm it down, calm darkness is necessary for the world. Not in the way that Xehanort was "trying" to change and harness

The Reality/Unreality theory makes Port Royal in KH2 even more interesting. When he first shows up, Sora and Goofy recognize that everything looks "kinda different". Even though it's a Disney world, the movie was made with real people and real sets, and Sora can tell the difference. By the time he gets to Tron in DDD(I wouldn't count Space Paranoids as "live-action" considering the... 80's...), he's somewhat used to seeing real people...

I think that Luxu also may have originated from this fictional world. Solely because of how he fights in the kh games. Like, his fighting style is very similar to what we have seen from yozora and his companions from that "advertisement" in the intro of the toy story world. I mean, since the MoM can definitely move between the fictional world, he probably found Luxu within it. Maybe as an orphan or something and took him under his wing as his rightful, or main apprentice. Seeing how that fictional world is in some kind of danger, I could see the MoM saving Luxu from that disaster, by bringing him with the MoM to his own dimension.

Well the whole talk about Karma had me thinking about SMT: Digital Devil Saga. Which had a society called Karma Society after the Sun turned black and its rays turned people into stone. In there I believe that when human beings accumulate enough Karma it awakens their Atma, true self, which causes them to trigger a demonic transformation. Perhaps in Quadratum it is the Gigas in this case. The people themselves became weapons or living weapons, if you will. Once their Karma accumulated to a certain point their Atma triggers the awakening that reflects their hearts. This could be why the city looks and seems empty. The inhabitants could be the Gigas transformed by their own Karma. All in all this just a crazy out-of-this-world theory I had since considering the whole theme around Karma.

I'm glad you picked up on this, I've been looking into Verum Rex extensively so I was already tipped off on this. Feels like we're on the same brain length, this is great. Looking forward to what you think KARMA is. For me, all I can definitely comment on, is that the Nameless Star likely was trying to use it as a backup/escape plan just before the Mega Gigas comes to capture her. So it's at least weaponizable in itself, given it took her across the boundary and placed her in the Final World.

I don't know what Kairi's narrative role is throughout the whole franchise is exactly, but if we go with the KARMA aspect, do you think a Princess of Heart is what Quadratum needs to be saved? She's pure of heart, more so than Sora, so she can never cause bad karma. At least that's what I think. Again I don't know if they want to build up Kairi's character more, besides her getting stronger under Aqua's guidance, but she does have potential to be the hero of Quadratum. I'm getting mixed messages about that though, but I wanted to put it out there.

I didn't think this until seeing this video, but when you were talking about Xehanort's plan, for a world that has neither light or darkness, it made me think...what if Quadratum is the alternate reality that would have been created had Xehanort accomplished his goal? What if it's the literal manifestation of what the world would be like had Sora not abused the Power of Waking? Hence why it's considered "unreality" or "fiction", because it didn't actually happen, Xehanort didn't succeed because of Sora. But the fact that it could have happened, or maybe was supposed to happen, caused this world to manifest itself.

Luxord deserved a better boss battle ending in KH3. Also, he was the least member to shine in back in the original org13 days (if we take the movie 358/2 Days and not the playable one), not to mention to be the only member to never being called by his name (with voice) until KH3. Sound like Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene, and Demyx will play big roles. I always loved all the original members and wish they all can still play parts in the future.

I don’t think Xehanort was trying to find Quadratum, I think was trying to rewrite the universe in the image of Quadratum, because he was already there. He’s known about Quadratum since he was a student, and after seeing the absence of light and darkness in that world, that’s when goes on the dark road: joining the darkness to eliminate the darkness and the light. But I believe Xehanort misconstrued that belief (no thanks to the Master Of Masters), as Quadratum is having a war all on its own because the source of evil in Quadratum is as you say: the karma in people’s hearts. There always will be conflict in some shape or form.

I’m noticing about the Karma and the weapons; in Re:Mind when Yozora tells Sora he was told to save him, he pulls out his crossbow and sword, and Sora asks, “What’s with the weapon?” Perhaps that’s part of the problem. Maybe weapons have become such a big problem that they need someone like Sora, someone who doesn’t solve all their problems by pulling out a sword and smacking things. I think part of Yozora’s character arc, if this theory is correct, will be learning to let go of his obsession with his weapon and learning to talk things over with his enemies. Just. Like. Sora. And Luxord’s and Demyx’s experience in the outside world could help too, as they’ve seen and experienced first-hand the pros and cons of not immediately resorting to violence to solve problems. They’ve experienced it first-hand through SORA. That’s how Yozora knew to target Sora.

But who told Yozora to save Sora? Maybe the MoM is using Yozora to his own benefit in exchange to dealing with the situation in Quadratum. Maybe MoM is trying to summon Kingdom hearts in Quadratum for a similar or backwards of Xehanorth (Taken from the last seconds of the secret ending ).

I wanna interject on karma. Remeber darkness and light is not a concept in quadratum but if you look at it nomura style karma can be darkness or it is darkness remeber darkness cant be destroyd yet well not till sora
