If for some reason Alexa is no longer supported by Amazon, can the vornado fan be turned on/off with an outlet on/off switch?

@@FaluShahShopper Did you actually confirm this was possible because I sent a message to Vornado as well as a phone call to them and they said that won’t work with their Alexa lineup. Secondly, I have the original Vornado 660, and because the buttons are "electronic" , I can only turn it off with an outlet switch but it does not turn on with the outlet switch.

Alexa will obviously be supported by Amazon forever. I don't see it going away anytime soon. And even if it did over time. It will most definitely be way after your fan stops working or you replace it with new stuff. Don't worry about it.

@@strawberryyogurt0 Nah don't worry everyone is loosing money. Like even Google and Apple is loosing it not only Amazon. Their own fault. They overdid the innovation part and pushed lot into it instead of letting the adaptation pace catch up to progression pace. I guess being competitive has its own pit-falls. So yeah all are loosing money. But none gonna drop them. I don't see that happening.

I like the fan but the remote stopped working one week after purchase. Changed battery as replaced still not working... Disappointed.
