Hi @Phraseblaster, thanks a lot for this video, I've watched it a few times to make the same installation on my console. I was actually about to give up on getting that PPU desoldered and thanks to your video (and your comment on the soldering temperature) I was able to make it!!

Thanks for your comment! That's great! :-) But you're right, desoldering the PPU wasn't fun. ;-)

Its great there is support for the original famicom, but wow That's a lot of work to have to completely replace the PSU in the process. I ended up using the original PSU with my famicom Twin when these first came out. This video still makes me want to mod my fami though. 😬

Hello, what did you do with the eject button on your cartridge? THANKS
@Phraseblaster3 ай бұрын
That's the downside with this kit. I needed to remove the two "ramps" that push out the cartridge to make space for the PCB. So the eject slider can't be used anymore. But this isn't a big deal. You can just pull out the games.

rgb mod how does it work when you connect it to a new TV with scart input?
@Phraseblaster4 жыл бұрын
The scart cable is wired to standard scart RGB specs. So any TV with an RGB capable scart input should work.

@@Phraseblaster thank you for the quick reply. so a full hd tv won't have a picture problem?
@Phraseblaster4 жыл бұрын
@@gregrable3756 If the TV supports RGB over Scart it should work. Sadly most modern TVs don't scale analog inputs very good. If you're looking for the best quality you can use an OSSC or Framemeister for example.
