I always come away with so much inspiration for our homeschool after watching your videos. I relate so much to the culture of your homeschool and the vision you have for your children. Thank you for continually putting yourself out there and sharing the resources you find through your research. You are my absolute favorite homeschool channel. I just can't thank you enough for bringing fresh air to this homeschool space.

We used that Next President book a few years ago and I really liked it. My kids really like the Jr Genius guides. I need to check out the Faultlines book.

I knew it looked familiar, but I couldn’t place where I had seen it before. Did you talk about the animal page, because that’s what’s coming to my mind.

Great video. I was unaware that Mint & Bloom had an election study as well. I am going to check it out. Thanks!

I am so grateful you’ve shared about the computer science units within CK. I will definitely be implementing them with my daughter this year. I feel so inspired after watching your curriculum picks this year, it has helped me tremendously with feeling more eager to get back to planning the year after a nice break! Will you be sharing some sort of video on how you plan to incorporate all of these moving parts on a daily/weekly basis? I think that would be immensely helpful to see. I often struggle to create and sustain a good schedule and before you know it, it’s been weeks since we’ve done any art or made progress on our social justice unit for example.

I agree! showing how I plan to implement everything is helpful. I have a homeschool schedule video coming out tomorrow 😃.

That Philosophy for kids book has been on my wishlist for a while. Do you know if any of the Torchlight levels incorporate it?
@michellegf3 ай бұрын
I am not sure. I know level 4 has philosophical studies. One of the books is Short & Curly which goes over ethical debates. My kids and I listen to their podcast. It’s really good! www.abc.net.au/listen/programs/shortandcurly

How do you get the free core knowledge curriculum? We would like to do the second grade CK curriculum for science, language arts and social studies. And if nothing else than for math as well.
@michellegfАй бұрын
You can download it free online www.coreknowledge.org/download-free-curriculum/ They also sell printed homeschool sets as well www.coreknowledge.org/store/?filter_type-of-product=type-10-ckhg-homeschool-sets&query_type_type-of-product=or#store-content

When you say you do the core knowledge curriculum. Do you download the pdf and then read through with your children?

The teacher guide is downloaded on my tablet. The student reader is downloaded either to my Mac desktop or my kids tablet. We go thru the readers together. As we’re going thru the student reader I have the teacher guide pulled up for reference and questions.
