Ahhh...Richmond. Two hours from Reston and yet it might as well be an eternity. How can the know that a major node 100 miles from them is completely unserviceable and not send out some form of contact team from the HQ to fix it?

I am going to be honest I forgot to record the data! The trip was 430 miles and we charged for a total of an hour and a half? It would have only been 30-40 minutes if all chargers were working properly and we didn't stop at the last charger!

What was the situation at the condo rental once you arrived for charging? Level 1?

I used Level 1 to charge up! We do such little driving at the beach the one place we did drive to was a brewery that had a 40amp charger, which was awesome! We stayed for an hour lush and would get more than we used to get there back.

Complained about EA charger but didn't say what was wrong. What charge speed did you get a EA?

I detailed what was wrong? Just rewatched it. The two 350 kW chargers were down, I arrived and plugged into a charger that didn’t work when I tried to activate it, the rest of the dispensers were being used, and when I checked the dispensers/previous experience a month or so before leads me to believe at that point in time That the rest of the dispensers were derated. I did come back to this site to test each dispenser and confirm that all, but one were derated. When I’m on a family road trip, my number one priority is my family, so I’m not always able to get everything that everyone would want in a video. I will note that this station is now fully functional after having all of the dispensers and power cabinets replaced.

Thanks for the video. Road tripping is still a pain for these non-Teslas. I did a trip in Florida with the Model Y and it was much less stressful due to the amount of stations and speed of charge. My ID.4 hasn’t seen many road trips but there’s a 3-hour round trip I take several times a year that stresses me out. Improvements can’t come out quick enough! Here’s to hoping EA can get their act together or VW signs an agreement with Tesla Charging.

@@денисбаженов-щ1б There’s more to a car than its charging abilities. I enjoyed the Y when I drove it, and I liked it, but my ID4 is a better drive overall. If VW ever gets access to NACS and the Tesla network, I’ll have a great car and a great charging experience. The model Y was a rental when I was on vacation.

Why do you have an ID.4 and a Model Y? We're considering trading our Model 3 for an ID.4 just to get away from Musk, but we do a lot of road trips, and EA is the scariest part of the contemplated trade.
