In Pictionary, there actually is a 4th mini-game. It's an upside-down version of Space Invaders, where you're a paint bucket dripping on pink blobs.

It probably was the first time they'd met, and there wasn't really an acting here, save for the end. The real, normal Pat is obviously very energetic and James is, he has admitted, a very mellow, shy person irl. In more modern videos of the two together, you can see they are more comfortable. As energetic as Pat is, Mike is far, far worse, it's just a matter of James knowing Mike better. Truth be told, I'd much rather see Pat the NES Punk and The Nerd, and I think they should have done that, as this was obviously a bit much for James to handle on a first meet up.

Even when playing with Mike, he always is pretty mellow unless something really funny or interesting happens. Note that he only gets intense when he starts on the script. It's actually pretty interesting, because based upon how he normally acts, you wouldn't expect it, but he's gotten amazingly good at using profanity. He really came to life at the end, there.

James' awkwardness definitely boils down to him not knowing Pat well (or at all) at the time. Judging by the clothes this was filmed at the same time as the "A chat with Pat the NES Punk" video, in which James awkwardly looks away whenever they make eye contact. If you look at something much more recent, like their review of Atari: Game Over (which, I should note, was also casual and not some written web show collaboration) from late last year, the difference is like night and day.
