@David Moore I'm English mate. I do consultancy work for lots of companies one of my biggest is based in LA. You can go to war and die for your country a girl at 18 can take part in hardcover porn movie , you can drive , own a gun and vote BUT you can't have a beer until you're 21. Utter madness
@trumpstinyhands3 жыл бұрын
@David Moore don't get me wrong I think 16/17 is OK to drive its just ridiculous to be 21 to drink An old joke from a comedian I can't remember is , Americans drink to have a good time , the French drink to socialise and the English drink to projectile vomit across the room 🤣 I've 3 kids , daughter 23 , 2 boys 15 and 12. From 13 I would let my kids have a glass of wine or a beer occasionally (family gatherings Xmas etc) so that the novelty of alcohol was gone by the time they are/will be old enough to drink. Not once has my daughter drank beyond excess, her friends have and do . My eldest son has been at parties where friends have got really drunk but he never has. The French almost encourage a glass of wine with a meal for teens and don't have alcohol issues like the us and UK do. Tell a person they can't do something and they'll try like hell to do it. I'm an ex Royal Marine and I drank myself into ridiculous states as a kid. I know allowing controlled moderate consumption at a reasonable age removes the mystery
