I always wonder if anyone who brings this up has actually seen the movie. "They didn't meet a guy named Marty?" Bedroom scene: (Marty) "Actually people call me Marty" (Loraine) "Please to meet you Calvin...Marty" Marty and Loraine in the car at prom: (Loraine) "Marty it's not like I've never parked before" "Marty you seem so nervous is something wrong?" "Marty don't be such a square!" "Marty you're beginning to sound just like my mother" After "Johnny be good" performance: (Loraine) "Marty that was very interesting music" "Marty will we ever see you again?" (George) "Marty I wanna thank you for all of your good advice" (Loraine) "Marty...such a nice name" 👈 Which pretty much gave her the idea to name her child Marty.

Guys, calm down what if Marty accidentally set fire on the living room rug twice already
@user-xi9oe8yw6v5 жыл бұрын
@ ExistencialistaAntiHumanista No, he hasn't set fire to the rug yet. That's inaccurate! That part of the timeline hasn't happened yet, prior to this incident. George says that he's not gonna take it easy on him, 'cause '55 Marty asked him to back in time to, because he knew he got in trouble for it back in '85. Now since he(George) has made himself to believe that his wife has had an affair 16 years ago, due to not knowing about his true son Marty's time travel to 1955, he is gonna brutally take it out on the kid he believes his wife conceived out of wedlock, which is actually his own son.

People who say George and Lorraine should recognize him need to remember that Marty was only in 1955 for one week. 30 years later, I doubt anybody would remember somebody's face they saw for such a short time.
@Shanethefilmmaker6 жыл бұрын
To be fair, 3PO was silver when Owen first owned him and was Gold when he met him again. He could recognize his voice, but odds are he assumed most protocol droids have limited voice sound files. With Part III he had to leave that Delorean in the mine so that Marty could pick it up in 1955. If he were to say, use it for repairs or rebuilding another time machine, Marty would get erased and Doc get shot in the back. I wouldn't necessarily call this a plot hole though, The Bobs did want to imply once that George may have suspected Marty is his future son. Maybe not in 55 but in the present.
@denisemayosky19555 жыл бұрын
Possibly. I admit I thought they would recognize the guy who fixed them up, but they didn't really even that. Hence the scene: George: (after Biff tried to con him about waxing the car) Ah, Biff, what a character! But if it wasn't for him-- Lorraine: We never would've fallen in love! So it seems as though they credited Biff, or more precisely George cold-cocking Biff at the dance, for bringing them together.

@GanonGhidorah5 жыл бұрын
Let's look at this logically without succumbing to knee-jerk reactions or powerful emotions... Firstly; who is to say that they DIDN'T consider this? Marty was not present for the 16 years of his life. Who is to say that at some point, George wouldn't have suspected Lorraine did have an affair, confronted her about it, and gotten a Paternity Test? Then once he saw that Marty was his kid, they reconciled and George dropped his paranoia. Lorraine would of course forgive him because of the MOST important factor in this situation - - THEY'RE BOTH HAPPY! Literally the contrast between the beginning and the end of the movie to show their different lives, is to show the difference in how George's life had changed for the better because of Marty's interference. As a result, George is more confident in himself and successful and is willing to take-charge of situations and not take any crap from anybody - especially not the guy waxing his car. Because of George's completely different attitude - instead of being the weak, disinterested, push-over he was in the original timeline, he's much more active in his love-life with Lorraine; so as a result of that, SHE has a reason to care. She let herself go in the original Timeline because George didn't pay any attention to her, so she had no reason to care about her appearance - (that and some good advice from Marty about drinking and smoking from a young age.) The point is, they don't suspect each other of being unfaithful because they're genuinely happy with each other and lead a fulfilling life. And even IF George were to find this completely suspect, I'm confident that if he was open and direct with Lorraine about the possibility of Marty not being his, only to be proven wrong, Lorraine would forgive him and they would move past it.

@nickwittednonpareil3 жыл бұрын
George is a sci-fi writer so is likely at least familiar with time travel conceptually and he is presumably aware of Marty's relationship with Doc Brown. Frankly the "doesn't remember" excuse doesn't quite hold up because the cover of his first novel clearly indicates that he is using the memory of his run-in with "Darth Vader" as inspiration and that happened the same week. They also reminisce about Biff's role in them coming together which again - happened that same week. I'd like to think George slowly pieced together the clues and that if Crispin Glover had come back for Part 2 that he and 16-year old Marty would have shared a really good heart-to-heart scene about it in 2015.

Very funny cutaway from Family Guy. For what its worth, in the alternative 1955, George McFly would now be very popular with his classmates and madly in love with Lorraine. Marty(or Calvin Klein) was in their lives for such a short period of time, he would not have made such a lasting impression as this cutaway suggests. And going back to the original film, George credits Biff for him and Lorraine getting together.

You know I'm not gonna lie, this cutaway gag is pretty funny, but it would actually be a great idea for a VERY dramatic BTTF sequel: Marty's father and mother's relationship is withering as Marty grows older because the father starts to notice how Marty looks "very similar" to the Marty that he knew back in his time, and because of this sees his wife as a cheater. And this also causes the father to resent Marty, which destroys Marty emotionally. So Marty now has to come to a decision: 1.) Tell his parents the truth and see what happens. 2.) Hide the truth, but end up having his family ruined.

Calvin Klein is Bi, he's been married to two different women and he has a daughter with one

@@qirat73 didn't know that's great but by 1950's people that would be considered gay even if he's not

It took them 21 years realize that? For those who wonder why 21 is because Marty i can guess is 5 years younger then his brother and 4 years younger then his sister and Lorraine and George had last son leading to Marty I'm 100% not sure. but it's a theory i don't know but if George names big brother Marty that may alter the order of kids to name reverse creating another alternate timeline.

Maybe Marty was covering for Milton Waddams from Office Space. He was always mumbling how he would set the carpet on fire.
