its a two pronged strategy, 1) if you dont have money they want to make you unconfortable so that you leave and 2) if you do have money, they try to get you to buy before you leave the store bc they know that once youre out the door, the chances you'll come back are slim to none. also, theyre probably reading your behavior to determine if you have money or not, if they sense that you do, they probably dont act as aggresively and give you some space.

Mexico is basically a monarchy, the only people who live comfortably are government employees and rich people. Education is worthless in Mexico when it comes to helping you out of poverty.
