Seth MacFarlane has this very bizarre hatred of Seth Green that he tries to play off as a joke in interviews, but it's very clearly that he's jealous Green's show got more and better awards than FG or AD, while Chris usually owns the scene against Brian or Peter, because he just does the same jokes better than MacFarlane. There's also a lot of this weird hate vibe against Mila Kunis out of him, but fans are so sick of Meg hate that he does more to try downplaying it with her. With Green, though- He's still allowed to not give a fuck what Green, or the audience thinks.

They've always been interesting but there was a time when Peter was actually interesting to watch.
@Anastas17864 жыл бұрын
_Everyone_ would rather see Stewie and Meg and Brian. That's the joke behind this particular "reboot" pitch. _Every single other "actor"_ besides the ones playing Chris, Trisha, and Joe, even the ones playing bit parts like the showgirls in the intro, was apparently popular enough to move on to better shows and movies, but the network wanted to keep Family Guy going _despite_ the writers having nothing to work with besides three wildly different characters that almost never interacted before. So, they just threw something together in the laziest way possible. "How do we bring these three together?" "Well, Joe's still a neighbor, and Trisha's... I dunno. Married to Chris." "But isn't Chris a teenager?" "Whatever." "And how do we explain why we never see the others anymore?" "They're all dead." "What?! Think of the fan backlash!" _"What_ fans? Okay, _Peter and Lois_ are dead. Peter's actor's too busy with his born-again evangelizing and Lois' actress just signed that movie deal; they'd never agree to come back. Meg, Stewie, and Brian are... away. In Australia. Doing... something. Who cares? Anyway, call their agents, see if we can get them in on the... series finale or something." "Don't you mean _'season_ finale'?" "HA!"

Thus why market research is kinda bad with art. Art is not an easy thing to do, and getting "the average viewer/listener" to come in an offer suggestions will probably lead to flanderizarion, or the show going in the wrong direction. I say usually because even though I hate the movies Disney seems to be doing fine selling their stuff based entirely on market research.
@ericchung31773 жыл бұрын
That’s because when they “””””give them what they asked for””””” it’s so shitty and half-assed that it’s barely even a finished product. That’s not the communities fault, it’s the studio’s for refusing to put in the effort necessary to make what the community asked for any good.
