Your partner isn't entitled to your labour and if they have begun to demand it and take it for granted there's no stronger statement than simply stop doing it Oh your partner always complains about the cooking yet never cooks. Just stop cooking. Either the other person starts to appreciate your efforts or they learn to deal with it themselves and free you from a burden. Absolute win win Indeed what's petty is to entitledly expect things a priory and feel wronged when someone refuses to bend head over heels for you. saying no to that and refusing to give in to it is the best thing you can do, both for yourself, your self respect and your relationship, its not petty at all

0:48 I think this might be a more common yet uncommon thing than I thought. I recently realized just how much my mom is into Christmas. I mean all the signs were there my whole life but maybe I thought it was just normal. I mean she has this need for everyone to be involved with setting and decorating the tree, including have Christmas music playing. Years ago, she started collecting Stanta Claus figures even though she can only display them for a month or so. My whole life she has always punctuated Christmas morning by taking family photos in front of the tree before we open presents as well. It was only after seeing this clip it occurred to me that maybe this isn't a thing every mom does. Is it more a just a thing in general for moms to pick a holiday and just throw themselves into it?
