Everyone is still able to "take a joke." The difference is more people are starting to have the self-respect to not take insults disguised as jokes. There's a big difference between joking about the absurdity of stereotypes, what Family Guy tends to do, and using stereotypes to punch down and calling it "humour." Hell, we could still joke about each other if there weren't people who took it seriously. That's the issue at the heart of the matter. If everyone in the world respected one another, we could all realize the joke is a joke and take a good laugh, but that isn't how the world works. If a bigoted joke is told by a comedian, they have to worry that it will harden the bigoted beliefs of someone in the audience, and the audience has to worry that if they laugh they might harden the beliefs of the comedian. No one is going to Family Guy to harden their belief in racial or sexual superiority. Sorry if you _can't take_ people calling out bigotry, rather than letting it slide because it's espoused by some famous douche.
