14:15 a lobster starts to go bad about 15-20 minutes after death, so while it does have to be kept alive you can kill them right before tossing them in the pot with no issue. I was actually living in Flint during that, and part of it stemmed from Flint wanting to stop getting their water from Detroit, as Detroit was starting continuously raising the rates. Problem was, they wanted an immediate switch, the water treatment facility(located near Dort Hwy and Stewart, northeast of downtown) was outdated, and yes the steel and cast iron pipes throughout the city were easily 50-60 years old or more, and should have been replaced with schedule 80 blue water main pipe.

Small note (actually big note) at 10:05. The umpire ruled it not fan interference because the ball was in the stands when Bartmen touched it. The left fielder wanted a fan interference call (which I believe would of resulted in an out). Basically the rule is if a foul ball has broken the wall that separates the stands from the field of play it is fair game for the fans to touch it. Obviously if you are rooting for the team trying to make the catch you don't want to interfere and deny the out. I believe it was the 2003 NLCS, and the Cubs had a 3-2 lead and the series and were up in that game. They went on to lose that game, and the next game to miss the WS. This is before the Cubs broke the curse by beating the Indians so it was a big deal at the time. I think after they lost that year that marked about the 95th year of the curse.

Yeah, we always watched that Wizard of Oz broadcast when I was a kid, too. And it'd usually include some featurette afterwards about the making of the movie, and do trivia slides at commercial breaks and stuff. And even by then that was already an annual tradition they'd been doing for decades. That went back so far that most homes didn't even have color TVs yet. That's how my mom would watch it when she was little. Seems like that would really diminish the effect. They were probably like "Why are they making such a big deal out of this girl exiting her house after the tornado?"

If you think there's a lot of Amish in Pennsylvania, you should come here to Missouri. There's a huge Amish community just in the area I live. And they don't just live around here. They live all over he entire state. If you've ever dealt with cattle or horses, you have had dealings with an Amish family.

D.C. is very humid but Memphis, TN humidity is on a different level than the rest of the south's humidity.

Vicksburg, MS is probably similar. Only humidity I’ve experienced that rivaled the DC area.

17:42 the implications of such a dish remind me of a somewhat analogous thing they apparently have in Canada called “Prairie Oysters”, probably around Alberta (basically the Montana of Canada as far as I know). Surprised that so heard of the Canadian version before the Montana one, being from GA and all. I’m still going to encourage the viewer to look it up.

Lived in Oklahoma my whole life, go to school at the SoM at OU. Can confirm there will be people, like in S. Indiana, who will indeed sit outside and watch the tornadoes go by. Me, on the other hand, will chase the tornadoes if given the opportunity.

17:25 well, I don't have to google it. As someone who has played Far Cry 5 (set in Montana) and did the side quests, I can make a pretty good guess what 'Mountain Oysters' must be. I will never forgive ubisoft for making me 'get the supplies'.

I love the Idaho clip because I was born and raised in Idaho and I still live in Idaho and I love potatoes and my heritage is mostly Irish and English. So I find it very fitting and funny. If you happen to be in Southern Idaho come during the fall because spring is an extension of winter and summer is like Arizona only not as hot. I really agree with Montana considering that Idaho and Montana have a lot in common, one of them is our love with guns. If I had to leave Idaho I’d move to Montana.

May 31, 1985! A cousin of mine lives in Barrie Ontario and that city marked the tail end of a series of tornadoes that went through southern Ontario on May 31, 1985. She found a telephone in her backyard with an Orangeville number on it, a distance of 85 kilometers away.

Winnemucca, Nevada is the last place I get gas on I80 before I start a stretch of about 200 miles until I get to SkyView, Oregon where the next gas station is to finish my yearly trip to the Klamath Falls area. That Northern Nevada/NorCal/Southern Oregon area is gorgeous. But I love being in the Midwest

As a south western Indiana Native, I grew up walking onto the patio and looking for the funnel clouds. Here recently though, we have had a decent bit of confirmed tornados. One of which hit eight blocks away from me.

15:33 I'm from Michigan, and I lived for 5 years of my life in Flint. It's resolved.* *Flint's city government is very corrupt. I could tell you some personal stories of what my family saw. That being said, some things regarding the Flint water crisis were exaggerated while others were played down. The one of the heads of the engineering department of Kettering University actually wrote a letter explaining in detail the situation. It was promptly ignored by major news outlets.
