James Gabbitus it says it in the credits of the episode: "special guests: Jim Parsons [aka Sheldon] and Johnny Galicki [aka Leonard]". Family Guy is actually very well known for getting the actual actors of the characters in to perfrom their lines, even if it is just one or two words. They got Neil Patrick Hariis, Jason Segal and Josh Radnor in as well for a How I Met Your Mother segment as well.

A lot of it relies on one of the guys saying something nerdy that requires a laugh cos they said something nerdy. Like penny slips in the shower, and Sheldon explains the scientific premise behind why she slipped in the shower - 80% of the viewers don’t even understand what he said but “haha look a nerd explaining something simple”

Big Bang Theory isn't a great show. It was funny at first, but it gets repetitive. Many of their jokes tend to be directed at nerds, which should be their biggest demographics. The jokes also tend to be only the set up, with no punch line at all.

I didn't use to care much for watching TBBT. However, one day back in 2013 or 2014, whilst being home bound for a few months due to being ill and stressed out, a TBBT rerun was playing on my TV. Whilst I sat in the living room and I ended up getting really into it. It's still one of my favourite shows today. Too bad its finished now.
