World War 1 apparently, which is technically World War II due to people calling the 7 Year War (Between Britain and France in the 18th century) the First World War, which would technically mean World War II is actually World War III

Wouldn’t the American revolution be considered world war 0 since the fighting wasn’t just restricted to the colonies. Since there was fighting in Nassau and Havana in the West Indies.

Technically, the last battle of the American Revolution was the Battle of Cuddalore on June 20, 1783 - fought off the coast of India between the French Navy and Royal Navy. Peace negotiations had started after the Battle of Yorktown ended in October 1781, but on/off skirmishes kept happening after that while talks continued. A total ceasefire wasn't declared until April, 1783, but word of that hadn't reached the Indian Ocean fleet by June. The Treaty of Paris officially ended the war in October 1783 with British recognition of US independence and agreement to withdraw their remaining troops from what was now acknowledged as US territory.
