the death was caused by being an EV. they are extremely heavy, does not need that much speed cause major damage, and the batteries are basically incendiary devices. notice how they say "might" have been speeding, instead of focusing on the easily prove-able fact that the lithium batteries are directly responsible for their deaths.

That's Chevy Volt and not Vinfast. I don't think it's a car malfunction. I have 2 EV SUVs, Tesla Y and Mercedes EQS SUV, with both self driving, but it will not do that unless you intentionally swerve the vehicle.

There were some neighbors who said the type of car, but since they did not all say the same type, we did not report it so it wasn’t inaccurate. 3… the report clearly states the names of the couple and who they were

Could have easily been mechanical error with those EV's. Electronic throttle is scary. You just hope and pray it never malfunctions. Could have just been plain ole speed. Why do you think the man said he heard pop, pop, pop because it was the batteries exploding. Those cars (MHU) screen tends to go blank while driving and the driver cannot see the warning lights or control icons which increases the risk of crash.
