The statues are beautiful. What a blessing to be able to glorify God in this way. My favorite is the Madonna at 215. Amazingly well done !!

This does not glorify God in ANY way, it is a direct contradiction of exodus 20:3-5, catholics pray and bow to these statues. Also people did not worship the serpent image that was made, they also never bowed or prayed to it.

These brothers are very talented and do very good work. They make these statues, to earn a living, but I got the impression from the video that it's more a labor of love. There is NO IDOL WORSHIP here, pure and simple. These statues help the faithful focus on God not substitute Him.

Yes, you are absolutely correct in your observation. Many people make the mistake of interpreting God's prohibition in that passage as not making images when in fact what he prohibits is not the making of images but of worshiping them as idols and gods. They are also falsely accusing and judging Catholics of idolatry when we only venerate these images and not worship them in the same manner that the Jews venerated the Arc of the Covenant with the two images of cherubims that God commanded Moses to make.

It is not a sin to make statues, but it could be a danger to your spiritual life. Why? Because having statues could cause idolatry, like bowing down to them, kissing their feet, praying to them. And attaching holiness to statues. While they are just statues. Personally I think statues are an offense to god. There are many statues of god, jesus and the Holy Spirit (in the form of a man) which is absolutely a no go. God and the Holy Spirit are invisible for us, there is a reason for that. And we never saw jesus so why make an image of jesus which isn’t even looking the same.

God prohibits making of images of other gods. God did not prohibit making images that belongs to him. Just like the Seraphims and Angels along with statues of Lions, Eagles, Bulls, and even Serpent that represents something in heaven that are on the Ark and in the Synagogues.

The statues of the animals are heavenly beings which god wanted the Jews to make to decorate the temple. The temple was a place were offerings were made, the temple was a place were god made contact with the people of Israel. In the New Testament statues or images are not used for any purpose. These angel animal beings are described of how they look. Making images or carvings of jesus, Mary, or the apostles is making statues of people you have never seen and never have been described. That creates a wrong image of how they truly look. Having statues leads to attachment for them, and finally it leads to talking to the statues and bowing to them. And kissing their feet and decorating them. This is a certain form of worship. We should decorate our heart with the word and the Holy Spirit because our heart is our only altar. ✨🤍🕊🐑✝️❕
