I used the Case Files series for a number of rotations. I felt that it worked well for the FM shelf, Peds Shelf and even the Surgery shelf. I would go through the cases and just type useful info into a powerpoint for myself to review again before the shelf.

Hi! First I wanted to say that I love watching your videos! They are extremely informative! I just had a quick question. What do you know about Canadians matching in the states after going to Ross? I really want to go into medicine, but as you know, it is extremely hard to get into in Canada. I am just terrified to go to Ross and not get a match! What is your opinion on this/haver you heard of a lot of upper years who were not able to match because they can't find a visa sponsor? Thank you so much! Kayla Doyle

Hey Kayla! Thank you for watching! A lot of my Canadian friends have matched back home, but it is definitely a lot harder. A lot more exams, a lot more time invested in securing 4th year electives back in Canada. I personally decided to the residency in the U.S then eventually return to Canada later on. SO much easier, no extra exams and less headaches. It all depends on how bad you want to go back, if you want it bad enough-it will happen.

Why did Ottawa get to write the ankle rules? Do they have a lot of ankle injuries there?

Hey! I have a Canadian loan (since I am Canadian), so as soon as I am a resident, I will do a loan payback system where I put a pretty big chunk of my salary towards it. I also have a husband who works full time and will help with payments!

Hi. I like your videos. Honestly surprised you had time to make them. My uncle M.D. thinks he can help me get into Ross. I know I could do well at med school and where there's a will there's a way... I'm a medical technologist. But realistically what extra obstacles am I facing as a husband/father of 2?
@FromD1toDr6 жыл бұрын
Hey! I like your attitude, and sounds like you are well on your way in getting an acceptance. Being a father of 2 has its sacrifices, but since I do not have kids, I am not sure if I can comment in that regard. Will they be traveling with you to Barbados (where RUSM's campus is now located). If they are, then they will be enrolled at a prep school on campus and if not, the time away from them will be hard. Thankfully, you do get 2 weeks in btw semesters to be able to go home. Hope this helps!

hi! would you be open to sharing your case files notes?
@FromD1toDr6 жыл бұрын
I would love to, but the learning process is when YOU make them yourself! By writing out the case files cases, you learn SO much.
