Have you ever made granola it’s really easy especially if you have a crockpot you put a little oil in the crockpot put in a whole bag of oatmeal and a little bit of salt and you keep stirring it every once in a while till it turns golden then add honey and whatever fruit and nuts if you like them and it’s way cheaper and you get to put in whatever you want I put in a whole container of honey and everybody loves it

A casserole we had as a kid and I still make it, my favorite! Beatnik casserole, it is eggnoodles a whole bag, you cook then add about 5 small cans of tomato soup or how ever much you want, just dump out of can don't add milk, the a can of corn drained a pound of hamburger and a pk of shredded cheddar cheese or any kind you want, salt and pepper and you can ground onion with your burger if you want. Bake at 350 for about half hour. You will probably have to double everything. It is yummy!

Getting a small chest freezer helps a lot also it doesn’t take up space, thats what I use just being helpful to ease the storage of extra freezer space

Oh my gosh… something about the way she said it and her mannerism. That was such a good movie. The big kids usually go busking or sometimes they have a performance. Probably the most expensive thing is fruit for us. I guess that’s our biggest splurge. Probably my best saving money tip is eating soups with legumes (beans and vegetables) and less meat. It keeps things healthy without breaking the budget!

I picked up my turkey last minute too. I have a Walmart near me and they dropped it to 75 cents a pound. Got a 15 pound for $11! I was shocked they had any left, let alone dropped the price like that already.

It’s interesting to me that Walmart and several other chains haven’t really seemed to bother with NYC or they don’t stay long. One of my best friends is a native New Yorker and he’d never gone to a wegmans before I went into one when I was there.
