Wanted to thank you for sharing your amazing journey, to stoke the collective imagination and nudge others to translate their dreams into action. You did a great job condensing 12 months to a cohesive story and inspiring video. Our son is now 3.5 years old and likely the same age as your son. We have been talking for the past few months about camping adventure next spring and summer. We used some of his limited screen time to watch your video together. He was so excited and engaged. We really liked how you had the trailer flying across the map on balloons it provided to great sense to space and journey for the 3 year old to better understand maps and travel. Thank you again for the inspirations and helping ensure dreams are lived and not differed. Best of luck in your next adventure in life and if you are still in Portland I hope you are loving it.

I could not stop watching your video once I started because of your pictures. I was impressed with the compositions and lightings. My wife and I will probably trace the journey you took with our 19 Bambi. Thank you for the beautiful pictures.

What an adventurous year. Not surprised with DK! Thanks for sharing. Some really beautiful photos, too. My favorites were the large hanging trees in New Orleans, sunset in Kansas, and the sun flare in Bent. Congrats on the soon to be fourth to be born!

Thank you Joseph! The photos in this video were mostly shot with the Sony a9 and the following Sony lenses: 24/1.4, 55/1.8, 85/1.8. Compared to my Nikon DSLR, the autofocus is much quicker and more precise. The lack of any noise is very welcome as well. And finally it is much more compact. Although not cheap, I’ve been able to get better prices used. All in all I have been quite happy with the setup. Hope this helps!

What wonderful memories! We are also considering an airstream for our travels. I will be interested to look at some of your other videos to see your thoughts on your airstream and your Ford truck. I am also considering the airstream 25’ (FBT) and the Ford F-150 with the 3.5 eco boost. I’m not sure which model of 25’ airstream you have, or which Ford truck you have, but l’m interested in hearing your thoughts on your setup, and what you like (and don’t like). I’ll be checking out your videos and hopefully they’ll answer some of my questions. As I said at the beginning, what wonderful memories you are making! I wish you much happiness on your journey and congratulations (on your upcoming new addition)! All the best for 2021!

Sorry for the long overdue reply. Yes we have a 25FB flying cloud towed by F150 with 3.5 ecoboost. We use the equalizer hitch for sway control and weight distribution. We are very happy with our setup. Some people prefer front bedroom others rear. We love the front bedroom/rear dinette layout to enjoy the views from our dining and living space. Please let us know how you’ve decided!

Love your adventure. My family and I are planning something similar. Please let me know what model of Ford F 150 you are driving and what model Airstream. I have a Ford F 150 with the 2.7 liter V6 and people are saying I should only pull a 5,000 lb trailer plus cargo.

Hello salfont. We have a 2019 F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost engine towing a 25FB Flying Cloud using an Equalizer Hitch. Wish your family great journeys!
