Hope you had a amazing Christmas. I've just finished my emergency fund of 4 months expenses, I'm so proud of myself being a single woman living completely alone purely on my salary xxx

ahh I can't wait to get married in May and start hardcore paying our debts off, followed by saving, saving, and investing, and prepping for our first little one. I found you in Fall 2023 and you changed my entire perspective on life. Thank you Marissa, just by sharing your budget and some of your tidbits of advice and strategies along the way, you've allowed me to open my mind to the world of personal finance in a way no one in my family ever has before. I cannot thank you enough. If you're ever wondering if you have an impact, just know you've single-handedly changed my life and that of everyone in my life who I have given advice. Thank you!! Happy New Year to you and yours!

Awesome budget! Great bonus on the tax savings. In my heart of hearts, I hope you and Jacob used it to get ahead on the mortgage! But can't wait to see what you did with the surplus! Happy New Year to you and the family! 🙂

You can do your own budget billing. Either a sinking fund for the electricity bill or pay the same amount and have a credit.

One of my biggest financial mistakes was not being born in 1930 and dropping $100 into the S&P 500.

Timing the bottom of the market is notoriously difficult, even for seasoned investors but consulting with a financial advisor can also provide personalized guidance tailored to your specific financial situation and goals.

I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started investing. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over 90% in a little over a year, my advisr chooses entry and exit orders

We love our pool NOW it’s small … has a large Baja shelf and is only 5 feet deep .. yes we spend 145 per months plus 2 filter washes and a extra cost of Algecide 2 x a year … not heated here in Mesa .. husband was unsure but I insisted and now he LOVES it … 😂Glenda

You may want to talk to a few people who have/had a pool bc people I know with a pool say it’s expensive to manage and a complete headache. My in laws had a lanai and they still had to have a pool guy come regularly. Sorry for the unsolicited advice lol All that said, my husband still wants a pool 😳

Definitely the pros and cons. Haha most of our friends here have a pool. It seems really fun and convenient but also a headache. 😂 our neighborhood has a nice community pool that we pay for in our HOA so it’s nice to have that for now!

Love these as always! I do have a question, how do you keep track of all that you have saved in each of these categories? Does your bank have a bucket option or do you have a way of tracking that manually?

I keep track of the balance using my budget template!!

Thanks for always being open about your finances! It's helped me a lot over the last few years to see another perspective, or point out things I might not have thought of. I know in the past you have talked about using a web based budget program (Mint, Simplifi, YNAB, etc) in tandem with your spreadsheet. Do you still do that? If so, which one and would you mind doing a video on it? Thanks!

My power is so high because I have a Rural power company. Average bill is 250.00 and as high as 450.00 during summer. Garbage is 37.50 a month. Georgia is high in property taxes also. My car insurance is higher than yours, phone bill is Verizon with no one else available so I pay 139.00 for 2 phones. I guess I need to move❤️
