I saw this little girl on Ukrainian adoption site and fell in love with her. You guys seem like a dream family for her, I so hope she finds happiness with you. In the video on the Ukrainian site she talked about wanting to be a mouse, so sweet and in such incredible need to loving family. I believe she is in Zaporoshye, city with the giant nuclear plant that Russians bombed. I have donated to the their orphanage for the younger kids and they said as on now they aren't evacuating. If I were you, I would write an email to the orphanage and ask for ways to wire them money. They will need money in case of evacuating. Also, offer them to help find non-for profits to get them any additional funding in case of evacuating. I think of them non-stop. My heart break for them.

Theres also the fact there is a WAR going on. It's not gonna be easy to get the girl on a plane safely. The amount of times there was supposed to be a cease fire to let people get evacuated and they all got shot down is crazy. Russia isn't gonna stop to let a little girl leave if they won't even follow through on a cease fire. Even if they could "expedite" the process it's probably more of actually getting her out of there.

@@fidelianerina true, we got family there, they said Russians were shooting at the kids too and they don't even ask you if you are Russian. They shoot at anyone trying to get out. Ukrainian military tries to help people whenever they can and they are slowly getting ppl out but we are trying to bring them to US. It's not as easy as it sounds but we are not giving up, some of them are children.

I’m so sorry. Yesterday I was at the dog shelter for my appointment to adopt a dog that I had tried to adopt earlier this past weekend. It wasn’t until I got to that appointment in the afternoon that I was told she was adopted earlier that morning. I was happy she was adopted…but My heart just sank 😢. I can’t imagine if that was for a daughter.

As a transracial adoptee myself, you really shouldn’t speak on what you don’t about adoption. Being taken from your home country for one is traumatic. Go follow some transracial adoptees. Also adoption doesn’t give us a better life it gives us a different one.

I personally know girls who were adopted from Eastern Europe and are thankful every day. sorry it didn't work out for you. I'm assuming by "transracial adoptee" you are referring to a family of one race adopting a child of another race. I think that topic certainly has a place for discussion, but it doesn't apply in this situation.

I’m in the Czech Republic now, and I feel so close. I wish I could help. That's awesome. The first step starts here in US with gathering proper docs and doing a home study. This part of adoption can take months. So, you can get started on it and by the time Ukraine starts reviewing adoption applications you will be ready. Hold on to that dream and it will come true!

I hat to say this but there are multiple cases were people host and plan on adopting kids from around ukrain and such and they just never get adopted. There is actually a documentary someone made about their experience on KZbin. They were from Ireland.

Many families in Italy are struggling with the same thing. Their potential adoptive children are there and they can't do anything, not even travel by car to Ukraine and pick them up themselves because they don't know where they are (some ophans are sent to Romania, many to Poland, many haven't left Ukraine yet). Sadly this is the case for hundreds of Ukraine kids. These host families are begging the government to grant these kids sepcial emergency visas to they can come back. A lot of the kids were also in process of being adopted by their host families and so they are desperate for their kids to come home. There is also sooo many surrogate moms with babies over there as well. That the legal parents here in the states (all over world as well) are desperate for their babies and scared for their lives

This kind of situation arises when bureaucrats dig in they heels to assert their (self perceived) authority. Common sense says let this orphan live with a loving family free from the ravages of war.
