Family Shows Renovated Kyiv Apartment Destroyed By Russian Rocket

Tetyana Lishchuk's high-rise apartment building in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, was hit by a Russian rocket in the early days of Moscow's full-scale invasion. A year later, most of the building has been repaired and she hopes to return to her apartment with her husband and daughter soon.

Very impressive how logically the Ukrainians approached the problem. First, stabilize the building to prevent further damage, then rebuild. If the Russian people were as competent as the Ukrainians, Putin never would have invaded. Putin would have been too busy using the talents of his own people to improve life for all. @@onababona6101 • Whether the building is now stable depends on the building standard they used. I'm assuming it is stable because [1] stabilizing construction is known & possible; [2] the building received government funding and they want a success story as they work toward European Union (EU) and NATO/OTAN membership; [3] the building is downtown and prominently located so it's worth the investment; and [4] from the looks of the lobby, this is an upper middle class to upper class building, so, again, worth the investment.

@@larsp5109 • Evidently, Russians aren't concerned with the "wealth gap." I was surprised to see villages with no running water, only a village well, on the 1420 channel. Cold weather notwithstanding, the government should be able to provide running water. Think how much time and energy that would take to carry buckets of water for you daily needs.
