Saying military life is hard on kids is not doing it justice. Growing up on Fort Lewis/Fort Irwin I didn't know any friends who didn't have some shit going on at home. Once we got back from Fort Irwin my parents split. mom was banging other dudes, and my dad was banging other chicks, and the 3 of us kids had a front row seat to the years of drunken rage induced fights from my entire extended family. If you are joining the military please do not have kids until you are fucking 100% sure you are not goign to mess them up. I am 43yo now, and I try every day to made damn sure my little girls never see that life.

Your job also doesn’t provide you with free meals, free housing, free education, and free lifetime benefits. It seriously doesn’t even make sense to compare a regular job to a military job. You can go to prison for quitting the military, you can’t go to prison for quitting at McDonald’s.

Facts. If you remain in your echo chamber. You won't grow, you won't evolve and you'll be content with being ignorant. By expanding your scope as far as people and experiences, you learn just how much depth there is in humanity and the world at large. Joe absolutely has the talent and intelligence to grow as a journalist. He just needs to do away with a lot of the f*** s***.

@@kh7688 Agree you can tell doing this interview was well out of his scope and depth of things but I think interviews like this will make him way better at his craft but also we'll learn more and as his audience as well. I really enjoyed this one.

Facts. Talking to Vets of any form to shed light on certain things the Gov't never speaks on is needed. But I'm worried because things like this can put a big target on Joe's back.

@@bjsaunders5170 Joe will be fine but his audience needs to be up on current events more than just "who has the hottest verse" black men in particular need to know what is going on around them especially in geo-political situations because we are widely on our own.
