I have many items that I make on the holidays. One thing everyone loves is my mushroom fried rice & my buttertarts. Buttertarts are a very Canadian pastry & dessert. Very decadent. 👍🇨🇦😊 Everyone goes home with a “doggie bag”. 😜👍😊👏 Loving the Vlogmas videos Renee. :)

I live in Germany and obviously we don't celebrate Thanksgiving but I am a southern Gal from way back (Bayou La Batre Alabama) and I loved seeing the FOOD! OMG Corn casserole, corn bread, blackeyed peas, pecan pie, oh.... Yummy! Thanks for the memories!

Thanks for the "secret" about the green bean roll-ups. I would never have thought about roasting them on a rack OR sprinkling brown sugar on them! BTW - our favorite holiday dish is Apple "Waldorf" Salad. Chopped apples, Craisins, and chopped walnuts in a yogurt dressing. I used French Vanilla syrup and some cinnamon and nutmeg to flavor plain yogurt. It wasn't so "plain" anymore! :D

My husband makes the best dressing! This year we deep fried our turkey in peanut oil and it was delish! Always after the meal we turn on our Christmas lights and watch National Lampoon Christmas Vacation and enjoy dessert. 🦃🥧🥰

I would like to get a "real" Christmas tree BUT I love to decorate for Christmas, right after Halloween, so we have an artificial tree..for now. Thank you for sharing alittle part of your life w/us! Are you sharing the Recipe for the orzo and asparagus ????

I certainly can!! It's super easy! Just boil your orzo for 10 minutes....and after 5 minutes into the boiling, simply add your asparagus. After the 10 minutes is up, drain the water from the pot. Add a few tablespoons of butter, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to melt the butter. I eyeball everything from this point on....but add heavy cream until it's at the consistency you like then sprinkle in grated parmesan cheese. Give it a taste test. This is when I usually have to add more salt and pepper 😋

Wow this meal looks just like our cooking in S.C. I never see cooking like ours on utube. My favorite dish is dressing but I have to have cranberry sauce ( I don’t eat any kind of gravy. Don’t like ) on my dressing. Now I’m hungry. It is Dec 2 have days to wait. Can’t get this good food in Arizona where I’ve been 3 years. Can’t even find Our veggies hear. My daughter went to their house in SC and brought me back my brand of flour. At 75 it would be hard to change my taste buds. Thanks for the ride.

It's gravy......chicken based gravy so it's light in color :)

@@WelcomeToMyCurls It's what I guessed, but just checking. :-) My family is from England, but we live in Canada now so I'm used to a dark brown gravy that's made with meat drippings and the water from the veggie and the gravy granuals. It's a product called Bisto and it makes a really rich dark gravy with the juices/veggie water. :-)
