We had a progressive party with 3 couples who live in our neighborhood. Started with appetizers, then salad and rolls.We served the entree, and the last couple had after dinner drinks and desserts. It was midnight before we knew it!

Yes, most of my friends fall asleep before the ball drops, but I stay up even though my City did not have any of those outdoor parties, it was just the countdown and fireworks from the Calgary Tower, drank my champagne tried to find celebrations from other news sources, nothing! Watched some You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and then off to bed. Yours was festive with a nice dinner, fun & games with relatives and cuddling up to the Maxxie & Pollux ... it does not get any better than that! We stayed home. I went to my daughters apartment, and slept over on sofa. We played Uno, and later watched Fear the Walking Dead (we are behind). We went to bed after 3:00 a.m. in the morning. I made blackeyed peas (second time in my life). I also made collard greens (first time in my life). I made pork chops because I have not had then in years (15/16 years). There was wine coolers, beer and champagne. Regular dress day... We had lots of fun. Happy New Year!

Congratulation’s on your 20th wedding anniversary. My husband and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary last July 19th. My husband went to bed around 9:30pm. I slept off & on all day. I woke up at 11:30pm, so I was awake at midnight. Some nut that lives behind my apartment building was shooting his gun into the air. The police were called and he was arrested. I’m glad, because he could have hurt or killed someone. There were 560 deaths, due to gun violence. That’s up 22% the highest ever! Otherwise our New Year’s Eve was very relaxing, just the way we like it. You look as if y’all had a nice evening too! HAPPY NEW YEAR from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

I went to a get-together awhile back and they rinsed a bag of fresh cranberries and then melted white chocolate. They dipped the cranberries one-by-one in the melted white chocolate and then placed on a cookie sheet. Put it in the fridge for a couple of hours and enjoy.

Yes…I stayed up ‘til midnight…only because I had “a Judy”. 😜🤣😂👍 We have been in the deep freeze for our 3rd week now…-30C today…& it snowed all day yesterday. Lots of shovelling & cocooning. 🥶❄️😳 It’s supposed to warm up next week. Thank goodness! It has been brutally cold here. Those strawberries look delicious! The homemade gifts make the best gifts. Although, my siblings & I don’t exchange Christmas gifts…I always bake sugar cookies & shortbread cookies…made your Christmas Crack, & your Nuts & Bolts…& made a little gift basket for my brother. He hosted Christmas dinner this year. It will be my turn to cook Christmas dinner next year. I love all the recipes you have shared with us. Definitely, a hit with everyone.
